Oh my God I am Flipping Out!!!!!

I need cash........BADLY!!!!

FH and I were just trying to figure out all our finances and we have determined we are in big trouble.

If anyone knows of any place I could go for a part time job. I am only looking for and additional 20 -25 hours a week evenings and weekends.

Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks alot!

Maybe babysitting? It's cash in hand and I would think a lot of people would prefer to have an adult watch their children over a teenager. i've thought of it - I've just been lazy to get started!

As a parent, I will honestly tell you that I wouldn't 'hire' someone to babysit if they weren't a personal friend/relative or have long-standing references that I could get a recommendation from. So, I don't know if this would be the most 'lucrative' option for someone looking for fast cash.

I think waitressing/bartending is probably your best bet - since there is high turnover, you can find something fast - and you get tips, which really add up fast. Good luck!

I wouldn't advise retail - unless you're not hoping for much money, b/c you're only going to make minimum wage. At 20 hrs/week, you're only going to pull down about $400-500 a month extra.

I put myself through college being a 'nanny'. I made SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much money. I can't even tell you how many people out there need help. I agree with Claud that some people would rather have someone they know, but there are always ads in the paper for people who need help on weekends and evenings to drive their kids back and forth and everywhere else.
I know this might not help, but if you play an istrument, you can teach privately. This is what I do after work(I teach in a school), and I make more privately than I do during the day

try selling some stuff on ebay!!! any gifts that you got that are not you, any old clothing, any wedding purchases that you will not use, any old jewelry, the possibilities are endless.

I would try hotels... my DH works part time as security in a Sheraton- they need people for all shifts so they are always looking for people.

The Bridal Registry at Macy's at Roosevelt Field is hiring... saw a sign when I went there yesterday! I think one of the ladies is out on maternity leave.

Defintely think bartending is a good idea. I took a one week course and got a certificate and I was able to do well.
