Oh My God....after over 9 years.........

I get an email today from FMIL about Weight Watchers. She wanted to tell me she joined again and how she did this week, and wanted to know if I could pick up a food scale for her.

Great, right? But here's the big part..........she signed the email............

LOVE 'MOM'!

FH and I have been together over 9 years. We have been living together over 2. We've been engaged since December. I have ALWAYS called her Mrs. 'X'..........she FINALLY wants me to call her mom!!!!!!!

Um Scary is not even the word! I was dumbfounded and speechless! I forwarded the email to FH and was like OH MY GOD, READ THIS!!!!!!!!!!!

Guess it helps to back this up with the fact that I've been venting to FH, FBIL, and FSIL a lot lately that I still call their parents Mr. & Mrs. I mean it's been over 9 years already!!!!!

So when this came, I was shocked. I responded to her with 'hi mom :) ' So this should be REAL interesting next time I see her in person

OMG!!!!!!!!! That is so exciting!!!!
If the next time you see her is in front of everyone else they are going to do a double-take when they hear you call her mom and not Mrs. X

That's very nice! Are you going to call her mom in person too? If FMIL told me to call her mom I would have a hard time adjusting... I think I would just not directly call her anything! LoL.
