Oh No!

Oh No!

Okay .. so I've been going through some trying times .. job related & such .. and was saddened today to find out that John Anthony's .. home of my wedding reception .. has changed their name!!!

I know they were taken over by a new organization .. but didn't think the name was changing.

Some many things have changed since our wedding .. which was less than 4 years ago .. but it seems so much longer ago than that because so much has changed.

Re: Oh No!

I feel your pain! My hall renovated their upstairs rooms and now they are AMAZING! When we got married, we avoided the upstairs room because they were too outdated and beat-up looking.

I wish I were getting married NOW in one of those rooms

Re: Oh No!

Funny thing is .. John Anthony's had done major renovations during our wedding planning process.

Our room had been updated not long before we booked, and they did major work all throughout the main level while we were in the planning phase.

I can understand the new organization wanting to make the place their own .. but seriously .. the two main reception rooms were already beautiful, and NEW!! (As well as the entry & reception area, and bathrooms).

Or am I just out-of-touch???? Is 4 years considered old in the wedding reception business????

Re: Oh No!

I havent been on here in so long.....so when I have the time I do come on and I do a search for JA's to see all the drama that has been going on lately.

Kel- I feel your pain - my wedding was there in Sept 2002 and I thought it was perfect too. The food was phenomenal! The marble dancefloors in both ballrooms were all new in 2001 I believe? The side lounge and bridal suites did need some work but the bathroom and entry area I remember being told was all new at the time too and I liked them because they were low key but nice and the view of course is amazing.

By the way - JMO - dont like the new name as much...
