OH NO! Britta refills as wedding gifts?

OH NO! Britta refills as wedding gifts?

I know this is so Bridezilla of me. Please don't yell at me... I realize we are not having weddings to get gifts. Seriously, but I really didn't want to haul a bunch of stuff home from my wedding...

I just checked our registry and someone went and purchased all this junky stuff off of it. Britta refills, an extension cord, cleansers that go with the Bissel spot cleaner machine we got (kicking myself for leaving this stuff on there) and other random items.

How will someone actually wrap and present that to us at our wedding? My mom thinks my office is throwing me a shower, but the last shower we had for someone, we gave the guy an awesome $300 gift card.

I doubt therefor you! If someone buys something for themselves while buying you a gift it will scan onto your registry probaly they bought it for themselves lol

But that stuff was on our registry - Britta refills and the spot cleaner for our Bissel pet cleaner thing which some purchased a while back for us. I meant to go and delete it all after the shower and forgot to. Like a remote control holder thing is still on there and someone got it for us. Eek. Ha ha.

Maybe they plan on making some sort of basket for you in addition to a monetary gift.

I am so embarrassed for posting this. Thanks for not bashing me. I wonder how many brides got random gifts at their weddings? That's what I should have posted. Ha ha!

a few things came off my registry right before the wedding and they were mailed to me from guests who were invited but couldn't make it. Maybe that's the case?

I agree maybe your office is doing this for you or a guest?

Yea i would have to say that sounds like a shower/basket gift OR someone is buying it for a xmass gift. I used my registery for that.

Do you have a lot of OOT'ers coming to the wedding. I think they are the ones who most likely would get a gift off the registry.

I assume somebody just wanted to get you all those little things that they thought NOBODY would get you. And since it was on your registry, people figure you wanted it. lol.

I'm a little nervous about what i may get for my shower also. When i registered, i hadn't really thought it through all the way. Right after the wedding me & FH are driving back to Colorado. Somehow we've gotta haul all those gifts across the country (on top of all MY stuff we need to pack also). So I'm a little nervous that people would get me anything big. It's all gotta fit in that one SUV. I'd rather people just got me gift cards actually, cause then I could just order 'em myself and have them sent directly to his house in Co. But I would never ask for that. Plus that takes away all the fun of opening presents. hehe.

Someone may be putting together a basket of things for the home for you. Honestly, if you didn't want people to get it for you, you shouldn't have left it on there. You can always return it after and get money or store credit depending on where you registered. But if its on the registry, people assume you want it.

Wow that's a lot of stuff to bring to another state! That's why my mom did my shower in NJ actually - she knew we'd get huge gifts and would not be able to lug them back here so it worked out well. We truly had 3 car loads of stuff. Things like vacuums, microwaves, toasters, pots and plates, all that stuff is in big boxes.

---- I MEANT TO QUOTE THE BRIDE BRINGING STUFF BACK TO COLORADO!----

Yeah, I've gotta wait & see what I get. I might end up sending the smaller, lighter things in the mail. I did that yesterday - gathered all my Summer Clothes and sent 'em on over. It's expensive though, so I don't wanna do that with too much stuff.

I do think its funky that they would give that to you at the wedding.

I saw that someone at the beginning, only purchased one thing off of my registry at Williams-Sonoma. It was an asparagus peeler. I laughed b/c I was like 'I want to see someone just give me a peeler...seriously' lol I just laughed...i had my bridezilla moment haha

I guess some people just think since its on your registry that means you really want it, and to them, it doesnt matter weather or not they give it to you at the shower or at the wedding hahha

I got bashed for this prior but I purposly took all the little stuff off my registry after my shower and before my wedding and just left my china for that reason.

Don't be embarrassed, most brides feel this way

You never know... we had a lot of people buy gifts for the wedding but they were sent to our home. A few were brought to the wedding but they were items that could not be mailed.

Maybe it was someone who isn't coming to the wedding and is sending you a package.

Honestly, you can't worry about someone's generosity, worry about things that are important.
