Re: Oh NO, She didn't!
No its definately not a cultural difference. She's just rude and annoying. And because she popped over a day after I said not to out of spite, I am going to limit my conversation whenever I see her. I will just cut her short and walk away. I have no tolerance for people like this. She is so dumb, she doesn't even notice if someone's annoyed with her. I bet if she shakes her head, you will hear rattling.

Re: Oh NO, She didn't!
I kinda think she's just really lonely and has such poor social skills that she doesn't know how much she is annoying you. Ofcourse she's still wrong and needs to stop, but her stopping over is reinforced when she is let in.I agree that you should either answer the door but not let her in, or don't answer the door.
When you let her in, what do you guys do, sit around and talk? Does she have stuff to say or do you sit around in akward silence?
What if you let her in and ignore her, like vacuum or go clean the bathroom?
It really sounds so bizzare! Like a bad joke!

Re: Oh NO, She didn't!
I would ignore her but as annoying as she is,DH feels bad and we let her in. We do talk to her but she just babbles about stupid nonsense most of the time. She makes everyone crazy because she could talk about the most boring dumbest thing over and over and you want to pull your hair out.Why would anyone go to anyone's house after they told you they don't want you to? If DH wasn't home, I would never have answered the door.
I want to get on her nerves so bad so she knows how it feels but I can't think of anything I can do without looking bad to the rest of the family.

Re: Oh NO, She didn't!
Does she have any friends? I'm thinking not. For some reason, she has decided to seek you two out for companionship (lucky couple, you)!
What if you talk to her again but be more firm this time. Tell her that it doesn't matter that she is family, she still can not just stop by, that it's RUDE and she is disrespecting you by continuing to do so when asked not to.

Re: Oh NO, She didn't!
She does this to other people in the family too.Me & my husband made it perfectly clear that we don't want her dropping by without calling. She says its ok. She is stubborn and doesn't care that we get annoyed! I don't think she has any friends.
Its so hard for me to bite my tongue and not tell her off. She's also very dumb so its like you are talking to the walls. She doesn't care what anyone wants, its what she wants. She better not pull this crap with me when the baby comes. I swear I will tell her off if she keeps dropping by without a warning.

Re: Oh NO, She didn't!
I guess I'm just wasting my breathe because even if she was yelled at, she wouldn't be phased one bit. She's just DUMB! Someone in the family was angry with her for pulling crap like this and she didn't even notice. Count your blessings you don't have to deal with an idiot like this.

Re: Oh NO, She didn't!
I agree. If you stop letting her in when she pops over uninvited, she'll eventually get the hint and start to call first. Tell her you weren't expecting her, it's a bad time, and you'll call her later. I'm sure it's not going to be easy.

I agree. I have to talk to DH and tell him that has to be the plan. Now I know why people move far away.
