OHEKA BRIDAL SHOW

OHEKA BRIDAL SHOW

Hi
I just joined but I've been reading posts on this site for months. I am just wondering if anyone has pictures from the OHEKA BRIDAL SHOW. I am so upset. On my way there my tire caught a flat. I haven't seen or read anything about it, so I was hoping someone who was there could tell me what I missed or show me. Luckily, they are going to carry a credit me for their next show - hope its before I get married. Was it great? What vendors really impressed you? How was the food?

Re: OHEKA BRIDAL SHOW

I went there with a friend....this was my second bridal show at Oheka and it was AMAZING!!! The food is great, they had lots of hors d'ouevres such as spring rolls, bacon wrapped scallops, mini lamp chops, beef wellington, fried shrimp, and some other things I forget. They also came out with desserts, they had chocolate fudge cupcakes (full size, not those mini ones you usually see), jello, chocolate covered strawberries, raspberry mousse cups, and cannolis. They had a Ben and Jerrys cart with maybe 8 different flavors and all the toppings you can put on yourself. There was also a big sushi station with lots of choices. They also had a guy giving out samples of their house wines and champagne, otherwise, it was a cash bar.

As for vendors, I really didn't look at many as my wedding is in less than 2 months. Godiva was there, and I got some free samples. There was some travel agents there. Bridal Reflections was there. Pedestals was there (my florist) and their stuff was amazing. Williams Sonoma was there. Many of the vendors had their own raffles going on for things such as free make up trials.

There was a bridal fashion show from Bridal Reflections in this tent and they had a DJ and cool lighting, which was new. It was really cool. There was a band playing indoors. They had a horse and carriage but when we asked for a ride they said management wasn't letting them do it anymore as it was messing up their grass.

They had awesome prizes for the raffle at the end of the night. They gave away a free $2,000 cake, I won a free engagement session which was very cool. The goody bag at the end was great, filled with a bag of Godiva chocolate, a mini champagne bottle, some other cookies and chocolates.

Sorry I don't have any pics....but this is BY FAR the best showcase to go to.

Re: OHEKA BRIDAL SHOW

wasn't this like $30 a head to get in??

Re: OHEKA BRIDAL SHOW

It was $25 per person......and the food alone was worth the price of admission.

dammmm how gorgeous is that place? Is it as ridiculous as people make it seem? I just want to go to see where my future husband , Derek Jeter, is getting married

The place is AMAZING! The castle is beautiful, they let you tour ALL of the guest rooms....each room is so pretty and unique. The grounds are out of this world...you can see the water from the castle.

You wouldn't believe how many times Jeter's name was mentioned....I think half the brides there were talking about him and his upcoming wedding there.

Oh, and I laid down on the bed of the bridal suite and said out loud, I'm laying now where Jeter will be laying soon.

Re: OHEKA BRIDAL SHOW

I have nothing else to add to the review of what you have already added. but it was amazing---- and if you do pay it is well worth the price my FH and my dad (both big eaters) filled up on the food as their dinners. The sushi alone (fresh made in front of you) by Nisan resturant.

If you have any questions feel free to FM me.

They made me feel so special and LOVED the gift bag on the way out---- so chic!

Re: OHEKA BRIDAL SHOW

I met the baker and tried to get out of him what Jeter picked. (Because you meet with him 2 months before to start designing).

He wouldnt give me any details.... but did talk about jonas brother cake and how NICE and amazing the fam was--- and how they all stayed the whole week there! WOW!

He did say for the most part the famous people go with real simple cakes and not over the top----- but he did have some VERY OVER THE TOP sample cakes worth nearly 50,000 dollars!

Oheka looks insanely beautiful, but it is so far out of my budget lol. Is the bridal show only for people who are booked there, or can anyone go? Any idea on when the next is?

Re: OHEKA BRIDAL SHOW

Anyone can go! and you really should think about going because they have some very nice high end ideas--- including living stautues (that i posted about last night).

They have a few year (i believe) so i think the next one should be in the next few months. They have had 2 since I booked there in April.

Awesome! I'm going to a showcase at the Sand Ccastle next week, but its only for people who booked there or who are seriously considering it (the BM really was nice and gave us an invite even thoughwe havent booked yet). So i am not under the assumption that all bridal showcases at RHs are only for those booked.

If i go to their website you think they would have a list?

I'm totally going to one to see the vendors and the extra stuff.

Can you link me, or tell me the next of those human statues!! I wanna see if i can find storm troppers and other star wars characters to come to my wedding!

Re: OHEKA BRIDAL SHOW

Not sure if they do that--- but here is the list from the showcase of most of the vendors were there and this is the link to the statutues (sorry i dunno how to bump on this website?) But they were nuts and amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There was passed around hors d'ouvres....people came around with heaping trays of food in the cocktail hour room, the main ballroom and the bar area. Not sure if they were anywhere else.
