Oheka brides and anyoone who has attended a wedding there, please HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hello all-
I need some help. i am down to my final decision on booking my hall and oheka is 1 of the 2. my only hestitation besides the clause in the contract which says if they double book them may cancel my affair up to 3 days prior is that i do not know about the quantity of the food. my family and i went for a tasting 2 weeks ago and altghough the entrees were ok sized , the hourdeouves were infrequent and small. the food was also decent but not out of this world! since there was no cocktail hour given i am query on the amount of food that will be there. we are an italian family and although i am in love with the place food needs to be a priority. has anyone ever attended an event there who can comment on the food, quantity and taste. Rick said if i wanted to add a pasta course it would cost me an additional $7 dollars which i find to be ridiculous given the amount of $$$$ already charged. Thanks

I was an OHEKA bride and we had an amazing wedding! At the tasting during the cocktail hour they only do the pass around hor de vourves. The stations the day of the wedding are absolutley amazing, and they have a great pasta station. In total there are 7 stations. Everything from a raw bar, to cavier and antipasti. Both of our families are Italian and the guests have not stopped raving about the quality of the food. The filet mignon, chilean sea bass and chicken are all amazing. There is more than enough food. Between the cocktail hour, salad, main course and then we had the dessert cafe and jazz hour people will never feel like there isn't enough food. We did not however have a clause that stated if they were double booked they could cancel. Everything OHEKa did for us the day of and the next day was top notch. From the moment I arrived that morning we were trated with nothing less than A+ service. And not only were me and my husband treated like a king and queen so were all our guests.

Went to a wedding there in october and it was amazing, there was plenty of food and it was fantastic ! Service was great and very courteous, i loved the facility but my FH wanted a NYC wedding. Oheka would have been a no brainer for me, i would have surely had it there. I got my florist from them, as well as my photographer. I would feel confident in saying, i dont think you can go wrong with choosing them. Good Luck !!!!

Wel I can't afford the jazz hour, but thank you very much for your response. You have eased my worries!!! Although I guess things have changed given the contract and now there are only 6 stations, not 7. But as long as you feel there is enough food then thats fine.

Hi,
I responded to your post on the other board. There are actually six stations plus a crudite (vegetables etc) so that makes seven!
