Oheka Castle.....
Just a breif review for those of you planning your wedding at Oheka. The grounds are stunning to say the least. When you arrive, you drive though stone walls to the cobblestone courtyard and enter into a lobby with beautiful duel staircases leading up to the waiting area. The waiting area is very pretty but a little small. There is a fireplace but that wasn't burning which would have been a nice touch. The cermony was held there in one of the rooms off the waiting area. Very pretty with 20' ceilings and gorgoues crown modeling. The reception was held in the main ballroom which was very pretty but I was a little disappointed because it didn't have any characteristics of a 'castle'. The room is very pretty but looks like any other reception hall room. Now to the important stuff... the food was very good, from the cocktail hour to dinner. I didn't like that they don't serve coffee to the tables, but you have to go back to the bar if you would like coffee.
The band - Body Heat - Fantastic! The dance floor was packed the entire night. I liked the fact that during the band breaks they had a sax playing live music.
The florist was a house florist and they did a beautiful job. I don't know the name of them.
Overall, a fantastic wedding! It was too bad the wedding was December and the grounds couldn't be utilized more.
