NO... not worth it.. i was going to have my wedding there.. but realized that the outside...and only my opinion.. but it was just GREEN.. there is no color or any type of flowers. You can get better pics else where.

Ohh....well i am looking for a place to do indoor pictures as well as outdoors - just because December could be really cold and I still want to have a place to take pictures inside if it rains......

If you cant find anywhere else that has a great inside.. than def go with Oheka Castle.. though a bit pricy for only 1 hr. they have soo many rooms to take potential pics.. 1 hr is jsut not going to cut it.

Have you already chosen a hotel for your OOT guests? Maybe the hotel has a really nice lobby where you can take pictures....

honestly, no matter what it costs- if there is a blizzard or it rains on your wedding day it will be worth every single penny for you to have a place like oheka (inside is just gorgeous) to take your pics! that's just my opinion but just think about the 'what if' of it raining/snowing.

i think we are going to stay at the Wingate....I'm trying to find something thats not so lobbyish.....I'm trying to avoid taking pictures at the RH for that reason......not sure what the Wingate looks like though since I haven't checked it out yet......
I hope I find somewhere good!

Re: Oheka Castle
where are you? the gatsby in islip on main street has a BEAUTIFUL interior (old mansion). it's a restaurant, so i'm not too sure if they'll do it, but they seemed very accommodating when i was looking at them for my wedding. they have a gorgeous upstairs that isn't used to often. the only thing is they don't have much of an outside (parking lot).
you can also look into the arboretum.
