OHEKA CASTLE

Can anyone tell me anything about the Oheka Castle. I have an appointment to go and see the place soon. I have no idea what to expect as far as pricing and extra charges. All I know is what I have heard from friends and family.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Very beautiful, but considerably pricier than most other halls

I just want to know what do you get for 200 - 400 per person? Most places charge around the 200 to 250 dollar area for top notch everything so I wouldn't mind paying that much but what do I get?

I was under the impression that most places charged ~ $150 pp for a Saturday night, maybe up to $200 during peak wedding season.

Oheka has beautiful grounds, and your guests can stay there in the rooms rather than at a hotel. I'm not sure if that costs extra and how much it would be.

I also know that Oheka has a site fee (I think $10k) on top of the pp charge. Don't know if you included that in your 200-400 price, but it's something to keep in mind.

Oheka includes your cake and your stay in the bridal suite for you and FH overnight. Guests get a discounted rate depending on how many rooms you book. You get use of the whole castle pretty much all day for pics and getting ready.

just out of curiousity, do they do more than one wedding a day? (ie: an afternoon wedding and an evening wedding) or do you get the castle the whole time? what if you had guests who wanted to stay a second night. if there's another wedding do you get kicked out?

The castle is closed down for your event. There may or may not be people at the site during the day before your event actually begins, but it is closed off at the time or your reception or ceremony (if your having it there). Only one wedding per day since if you book, you have the castle all day.

As far as guests staying a second night. I'm not entirely sure how that works. I know I had to leave a deposti for each room I wanted to block out for my wedding night, otherwise the rooms are open to the public. I blocked them all out since I think that the majority of my guests plan on staying and I doubt there will even be enough rooms. I think the booking all depends on whether or not they have another event the next day and if those people are blocking all the rooms.

Oh yeah , and you get breakfast with your guests who stayed overnight the next day.

Its an amazing place and I really wanted to have a summer wedd there but they wanted like 400 + per person and a 10,000 site fee and for the amount of people I was having it would have run me a ton of money. Im sure the off peaks months are afordable.
