Oheka Tasting Tomorrow!
Ayanna, I am April 20th at Oheka, but I've only been to one tasting. Didn't know we could go to more than one -- do they give you different food at each one? I have my details meeting in less than 2 weeks and can't believe it's so close. I have some questions stored up that might be helpful: what time is the rehearsal and exactly who needs to be there? What room do we get to sleep in that night? Do they set up the seating cards or should I commission a bridesmaid to do it? I'd like to see the red carpet they promised, since I saw a really ratty looking one when I peeked in on a wedding set-up a couple of months ago. Do they serve wine, champagne or anything when guests are arriving? Hope these help. If you have answers to any -- or get answers while you're there, I'd love to hear from you. If after you go you have helpful hints for me, please e-mail me directly at [email protected]! THANKS!!!! Gina

Oheka Tasting Tomorrow!
Ok, I can answer some of these.... Picking the room- You can pick the room beforehand, or just pick it that day. i just picked it the morning of the wedding, unfortunately they only gave me 2 to choose from. Seating cards- I had french seating, so we did not use cards, but I believe that they take care of it. Carpet- Gina, I hope that wasn't my wedding where you saw the ratty carpet! I had the same concerns, and they promised it would be new and clean. I didn't get to see it that morning though, so I have no clue. Arrival- While the guests are arriving they serve champagne and strawberries. It is quite elegant! Hope this answered your questions!

Lisa W. -- French Seating?
Lisa, thanks for your input. Pardon my ignorance, but what is French seating? I will never get all of these wedding terms straight...

Lisa W. -- French Seating?
French seating is when they have someone stand at the door at the main ballroom with the seating list, and basically escorts them to their table.

Sounds so elegant!!! Did Oheka do that for you or did you hire someone? If Oheka, do they charge extra for it? Did it work out well? Would you recommend it?

Lisa W. -- French Seating?
No, Oheka doesn't charge for it. They take care of it all. I'm pretty sure it worked out well, but I didn't get to see it. Our wedding was pretty small, only about 120 people. If your wedding is not too large, I would definitely recommend it. Definitely took took away the stress of doing seating cards...lol.Welcome New Vendors
