Have any of you gotten beyond the' picking a hall ' planning and actually started looking at vendors? Some people that I know (not on LIW) already started looking and booking!! and im like am i falling behind!?!?Do you girls think its a good idea to book some vendors from now (to get the 05 prices?)

I have already booked the hall, DJ and Photographer. I would like to get all that big stuff out of the way so later on I have more time to spend on the small stuff!
I don't think that you are falling behind but it is nce to stay on top of things since we have so much time before 07.

I would do all that....but aren't you guys paranoid that 'what if' something happens to that vendor....that we lose the $$$ ??

I think there is always a chance of that, even if you book only a year in advance. If you do the research and only book vendors that have been in the business for years I don't that you would have a problem..........

We booked our hall and the band...I liked booking it earlier b/c we were able to extend the deposit over more time.

I've booked the hall and church. I've been doing some research with other venders so I know what I'm looking for. I figure I'll start looking near the end of this year.

We alreadys tarted looking b/c we were originally planning a late 2006 wedding. I think as long as you're hiring a vendor w/ a good reputation, I woudlnt worry about smething happenning. it's only 2 years

That what I'm planning on doing ... My Fiance Chris and I were just recently engaged on Memorial Day and we were urged to book everything by this summer to get the best pricing

CONGRATULATIONS AND WELCOME FIRST OF ALL! You can definately get alot of ideas from these ladies- Ive only been a member on this board since May and already I have received endless amount of help, encouragement and friendship from these girls! You will get hooked FAST!!!

Talk about behind..........I havent done anything except speak to vendors...and havent booked anything. I am ashamed.... But I will still have the wedding what I want!!!

Dont feel behind...there is plenty of time and you are making some of us 06ers feel kinda bad...
You can 'lock' in some vendors at 05 prices, but beware , vendors will tell you that you NEED to book early to make sure you get them, it is true to a point, but two years should be more than enough time, DONT let vendors stress you out!
