OK can someone please explain to me why it takes so long to get a doctors appointment!

I called today and they can't see me until Feb. 4th!

Is this a regular dr or a specialist?

My internist I can see anytime BUT specialty drs that is actually QUICK I had to wait until Feb 2nd to get a REGULAR PHYSICAL out here (NO dr will see you until you have a physical in Michigan even if you are REALLY sick) I made the appointment in the END of SEPTEMBER!!!!

But in NY I find unless it is an emergency that many specialist take 3 weeks -6 months to see - sometimes longer if they are listed in Best dr's in NY (NY magazine) It can be very frustrating
