Sorry parents, but just because you think your kids are great other people may not. I dont mean this in a mean way, but sometimes parents go to far.

Sorry but the other day at Pathmark, I thought it to be the rudest thing.

I was on line it was late and some mom was teaching her 3 yr old kid how to use the debit machine. Was she kidding me?

Anyone else feel like this.

I TRY to remember that the parents probably struggled with the 3 year old all through the super market after working all day and picking them up from the sitter/family member/day care and that this is the first time they had to get to the store and that this was a way to keep the child quiet while they got the groceries together.

It actually bothers me more when my friends put their kids on the phone that don't really talk to much and then scream 'Say Hi to Aunt CHristine' in the backround while the kid makes some noises in the direction of the mother.

I can see it now 'Here ya go little Sally, just punch in this 4 digit code and all the money in the world is yours!'.

I can see it now, a 25K debt by the age of 16.

Was she doing it to keep the kid quiet? Buy a gameboy!

Who knows she was telling the kid to press the green button not the yes button.

I understand that kids arent easy but I wanted to scream hey lady, move it or lose it.

I was just wondering if parents lose a sense of reality.

I have a better one. I was at the mall and got yelled at by some dad because I tripped over his kids as they were lying on the floor.

Can SOMEONE TELL ME HOW THIS IS MY FAULT? i WONT TELL YOU WHAT HOW I ANSWERED HIM BUT HOW WAS THAT MY PROBLEM?

Christine I hate calling people who think its cute to have their kid answer the phone and then they hang up. AGHHHHHH

I agree wholeheartedly with you. My children rarely answer the phone, have no idea what an ATM machine is and if you tripped over one of them who was lying on the floor in a store, I would apologize profusely to YOU and drag them out by their ear.

Some people are nuts who think their kids should rule the roost. A 3 year old has no concept of money nor should he or she know passwords and the like.

Mlp I would love to go shopping and encounter you with your kids.

I love kids but I think some parents have gone and lost their minds

OMG! I can't even imagine. It's one thing to 'play' with the machine but not a 3 year old with my money!!!

Another thing if she saw you waiting in line she should have just let you go first. People are strange.

I'm guilty of this but I do try to save it for people I think will not finding it totally annoying.

ETA: As foir the ATM lesson, I'm all for teaching a child whatever you want but I agree, don't do it while there's a line of people (or even one person) waiting. That's just inconsiderate of other people.

Ok I hope I do not catch a lot of flack. But when I was in retail I hated when the parents plopped the kids on the counter and give them the credit card to give to me or gave me money because they were 'teaching' them how to deal with money. Most of the time the kid dropped the card or wouldn't give it to me. Then when it came time to give back the money I would give it to the parent and the kid would start crying. They could barely talk but let's teach them the language everyone understands.......... money.
