Ok funny story about an engagement! & has this happened to you?
Ok, I HAD to share this! I wanted to know if this has happened to ANY of you brides?
My DH's friend just got engaged. How he proposed????? Him & his girlfriend got into a HUGEEEEEE fight and she said something to the effect and hinting at breaking up & he said 'oh so you want to spend the rest of ur life w/ me miserable?' the he pulled out the ring and popped the question!!!!! she said yes!!!
well now i know this kid and what a cheap way to get out of a fight and not admit ur wrong! WHY DOES THE MALE SPECIES NEVER SEEM TO AMAZE ME???? lol....

wait he pulled out the e-ring? if he just asked and had no ring then maybe he'd be getting out of the fight...but if he had the ring then he was planning on doing it regardless

yeah probably. im sooo nosey. i would have love to know what they were agruing about. dh said he didnt know. lol. the kid that proposed is really like NUTS in the head...... im mean really nuts.... no manners, he comes over, goes thru my frige, eats my food, puts his feet on my coffee table...uhhh...he's dh's friend from hell!!!! thats one wedding thats gunna be really interesting!

That happened to a friend of a friend...he pulled out the ring, she accepted, but they broke off the engagement AND relationship 2 weeks later...they don't even talk anymore.

I dont know WHAT the fight was about! Im DYING to know! LOL! I dunno, I know 1 wanted to move to FL and 1 wanted to stay in NY...thats what they had been talking about.....so he didnt know if he was gunna pop the question AT ALL, eventho he had the ring...as far as what they were agruing about, I asked DH a hundred times and he told me he didnt know!! Ibdon't know whp started the fight, but come on, we're talking about the male species here! WHO ALWAYS STARTS THE FIGHTS? the men!!!!!! uhhh!!!! men!!!!!!! theyre unebeliavable! they do ANTYHING to get out of an arugement or a fight! my DH included! But this story tops the cake!

Now he's stuck with a $16k e-ring with no return policy!!!

holy sht! that stinks...do they even come w. return policies? lol... im sure he can sell it.... or keep it for the next girlfriend, no jk. did he buy it on like a spare of the moment thing?

Umm.... that sounds like a pretty awsome rock right there... i'm sure he can 'get rid of it' if not tell him i'll give him $50

My FI staged a mini-fight with me before popping the question!
He got me aggravated by saying he didn't want to help me out with something for school. It was something we were suppossed to do the night b4 and he bitched about it till no end so I let it slide for 1 day... LoL So I was even more mad right b4 he proposed b/c he pulled the same crap with me the day b4
He made sure not to make me tooo mad b/c he knows I have a very short fuse and then asked me to marry him... My reaction? HUH???? What's going on?? Of course the angry look on my face changed into 1 huge *** grin
We're more quirky than we are romantic so it may seem odd to others, but it desribes us to a T

oh man!! DHs friend got engaged in kind of a funny way... .they had just bought a house together and had her dad over to see it and have dinner.... he asked her dads permission when she stepped out of the room for second. but, he wasn't planning on asking her that night... BUT, after her dad left, she put on her PJs and they were watching a movie together and she apparently made some comment about her finger being empty- LOL so he goes ' ok, i can fix that' LOL and whips the ring out soo funny and random!

Something kind of similar happened to me. I walked in on my DH kissing this other woman and I FREAKED OUT. So I started throwing things at her and was ready to murder him. So he starts talking about how I got it all wrong. He tells me this story about how he was just talking to this girl and telling her all about me and how he wanted to marry me. Then he got down on one knee and proposed, and of course I said YES. He had no but I am sure he had it all planned out. DH still never FAILS TO AMAZE ME!!!
