Ok, girls, give me all you got on weddings with wine color!!!!!!And, would someone please show me what wine color is????

I'm in planning mode for Donna's wedding!!! Bought her a wedding planner today!!!! Thank you very much!!!!!! Mary MOB

PS I'm a bit confused about the wine color. Is it a burgundy with tint of purple??

I am planning a wine/vineyard theme (not getting married in a vineyard), but I am probably going to choose a lighter color for my color scheme. I posted a poll and people seem to like sugarplum...which is in between pink and purple. What exactly are you looking for? Just any decor that is wine color?

Is this not the cutest thing!!!!!! First I have 'Donna' post a response and now 'Debra'!!!!!!!!!! My Daughters are Debi and Donna!!!!!!! Ok now down to business!!!! Donna has not chosen anything yet, except to tell me she wants wine color!! So, flowers , etc. Mary MOB

Donna, my Donna is getting married next May or June. I don't know if she'll use Davids. The closest one is Harrisburg. Perhaps she'll use one of the local bridal shops, like Weddings by Paulette, where Debi's BM gowns came from. Mary MOB

Here are two other dresses in 'wine' color. If you are looking for more of a redish tint, you might want to search for 'Cabernet'. That has more red in it. Just to chime in...the first dress i posted is from David's Bridal. So that is DB's 'wine' color.

I don't have any pictures to share, but wine can range in color anywhere from a maroon to a purplish color. Each designer will have their own version.

Thanks Mary. I originally wanted chocolate brown and cinnamon but the girls liked this dress so we went with it.
The ribbon looks awesome in person too...I wrapped it around the basket handle and then used glue dots to hold it tight at the end and put the little flower thing over it.

Are you going to change your LIW name to donnasmom?

Wine is one of my main colors since I'm having a November wedding...anything that's a darkish purplish red qualifies as wine for me, I'm not trying to match everything 100%.

I'm using Claret ink for my invitations, but a 'berry' color would be closer to 'wine'

Enjoy the planning the 2nd time around...how exciting to not have seashells to glue this time!!

My FMIL's dress is 'Merlot'. Now I've drank enough Merlot to know that color...but when I as FH what it looks like he says...'You know...a really dark purple.' I'll try to stop over to her house this weekend Mary to take a pic of it for you!
