Are you going to change your LIW name to donnasmom?

Wine is one of my main colors since I'm having a November wedding...anything that's a darkish purplish red qualifies as wine for me, I'm not trying to match everything 100%.

I'm using Claret ink for my invitations, but a 'berry' color would be closer to 'wine'

Enjoy the planning the 2nd time around...how exciting to not have seashells to glue this time!!

My FMIL's dress is 'Merlot'. Now I've drank enough Merlot to know that color...but when I as FH what it looks like he says...'You know...a really dark purple.' I'll try to stop over to her house this weekend Mary to take a pic of it for you!

Andrea, did you have a seam in the ribbon, on the underside of the handle? It really looks profession!!! I always like to learn new ways to do things!!! Thanks!! Mary MOB

Hmmmm I don't really remember, I did it a while ago. I do vaguely remember having to add a tiny piece at the very top under the handle to cover a seam of some sort. I love doing things like that. The smaller baskets for my 4 yr old twin cousins, I made a little different.

Claret is the name for a color, sorta like wine, but more reddish.

When I was looking at Jim Hjelm Bridesmaid dresses, I found the designer's color card...maybe this will help visulaize the colors a bit.

To me, either the Bordeaux or the Burgundy would count as 'wine' on this card:

In my album I have the two wine dresses...from David's that I chose for my BP. It is a really rich and beautiful color and very complementary to all skin tones. I range from very tan to pale irish!

Hi Mary, I am doing a 'wine' color for my girls as well. I got the dresses from Davids Bridal and they are called Chambord. However, when I was doing invitations, they called that exact same color burgandy. There are many different shades of wine and all pretty much go with one another but I think its a great choice!!!

Mary, you can sign up for a Yahoo account and use that as your 2nd email address. I have about 3 of them for different purposes in addition to my regular one on my computer.
