Ok Girls I need your help

You have all come through for me in the past, I really need you now. My baby brother is graduating college next month, we found out today he thinks he is getting a surprise party. Well, when I heard this I felt it was time to jump into action. He is doing sooo much for us for our wedding including paying for our honeymoon. Well, I need to find a place quick to have a surprise party for him, a restaurant or small hall to accomodate approximately 30 people. PLEASE HELP ME!!! I am on a very very tight budget , so please tell me some places that are cheap but nice where I can have this party. Thank you sooo much.

I don't know what location you are looking for, but there is a place in Williston Park called TR's, it is on Hillside Ave. and they have an upstairs room that can be rented out for parties. IT even has a little dancefloor and a bar area. It is a really cute place and I think it is reasonable. If you are looking in Queens, there is a place called the Whitehouse in Whitestone, which is also very reasonable and the food is good, and the cake, OH MY GOD, I still think about that **** cake!

amichi's on hempstead turnpike will give you their dining room for a small party i think its around $15 pp

Cafe Grappa on Hempstead Tpke in East Meadow. Great Food. Cool atmosphere.
We had our engagement party there and Sylvia was a great help. There prices are not bad.

Or Casa Di Pasta on Merrick Rd Bellmore or Merrick. I had my sister's shower there food is great prices are reasonable

Or Macaroni Grill,. Food is great. Different packages available and has separate back room.

Do you like chinese food? Hunan Gourmet on Merrick Road is Merrick is about $20-25 per person. And the food is great. They have a back room that's private. We had both of my parent's 50th birthdays there!

What about the local firehouse or VFW sounds like a good party is well deserved

What about Hunan Gourmet on Merrick Road in Merrick , there is a party room and I think it is like 10.00 a person, during the day time. You might want to give them a call on the price, sometimes they advertise that in the local Shoppers Guide. It is Chinese food and there food is great.

Thanks girls. Does anyone know how many people can fit into the party room at Hunan Gourmet? I am going to call Elisa's and Hunan Gourmet at some point today. Kids at school are crazy, 2 days til vacation, I hope I get a chance to call. Thanks!!!!

I think Hunan holds about 50 people. It's a nice size room.

macaroni grill in westbury is like 30 pp (or cheaper depending on your choice of pkg)...and they can make it look like they are just seating you...(thats what they did for my fh last year for his bday - the service and all were great!) - also you can brign your own cake, which can save $$ - i got one at bj and everyong loved it..no one knew it cost liek 20 bucks versus 60-70!!!)
