of my weight. I'm sick of feeling fat and unhappy, and I figured out what I am going to do. I spent the last few days paying attention to the things I was eating and how I felt afterwards, and I realized that I don't even know it sometimes until AFTER I eat something, that I shouldn't have eaten it. And then I find myself feeling crappy because I ate something I wasn't supposed to. So what I started to do was carry a notebook with me and not necessarily keep a diary of what I ate, but keep a diary of when I am craving foods, what they are, how I am feeling, etc. I just don't want to live my life on a diet, and I think that if I can figure out why I eat too much or why I eat things I shouldn't, then I can gain control. I have a hard time thinking about living on a diet for the rest of my life, and I just want to be normal, and hopefully this will help. Wish me luck!

That's a great way to approach it. Losing weight is such a mental process! If you can mentally gain control over your cravings and why you crave them, you'll have no problem taking control of your weight.
Good luck!!!!!

Good luck!! You should read the article in the June Glamour or Marie Claire. It was very similar to what you did, keep a notebook, figure out what you are craving, etc. They let the women eat whatever/whenever they wanted and by the end of the month each had lost some weight and was much happier then when they were on their diets.
