Ok girls....Don't laugh at me for asking this!!

Have you and FH ever thought of joining an online service such as 'couplets'??

I ask this because he and I are pretty much the last of our group of friends to tie the knot, and a lot of them have already had children , or are pregnant.....so we are running out of couples to hang with!!!

Don't get me wrong...we both ADORE kids, and god willing , plan on having our own, but, ya know....it's different when they have children and you don't; so I googled this the other night,, and apparently it's a cool website that will match you up with couples according to a questionarre you fill out.

It's like E harmony. There's a whole screenning process....it also specifies that it is NOT for swingers...lol

I don't know if I would trust it either. But there are other options as far as meeting people or other couples. What about finding something you and your FH like to do and see if there is like a club or social group for it. For example, my FH and I used to love playing Darts when we went out to bars and eventually joined a league. While we were there we met a ton of people and formed really close friendships with a lot of them. Softball leagues are the same idea.

FH and I both study karate, we meet other younger people that way to hang out with. Like you said- lots of our couple friends have kids so it makes it a bit tough to hang.

We also are moving to a 'hipster' neighborhood. GOOD LUCK

OMG- i cant believe there's an acutal website for that??? cause me and FH always talk abotu how we're running out of couples to hang out with-
but yea its sounds kinda weird- i think maybe just try to make friends with neighbors or find new couples thru other friends....

i dont think its weird - i would personally never do it because even though i am 1 of the last to get married me & FH have a 2 year old together....

I dont think it's that weird. But I am also way too trusting of people and meet weirdos. LOL

Another option is the site www.meetup.com

there are all sorts of groups to join -- including those for couples. so it's not as 1:1 as being matched with a certian couple...but you can attend events and meet new couples. I havent been...but some of them look interesting

I didn't know it existed! I prob would consider doing it, but FH would think I was crazy! We are in the same position with our friends...everyones in a different place.It's good to know its out there i guess!

FH and I need couples to hang out with...everyone is too immature in our friend group. Only one other couple is married and they're homebodies. The other ones have no concept of responsibility at all! It would be nice to have some couples to go out with...I don't think FH will go for the site though :( and I don't know if I'm ready for that step either!
