Ok, here's my question.....
I am a teacher for 1st-8th grades, and I am having a dispute with my sister and mother over something. See, I have a large chest that happens to match the dimensions of my body. I don't wear tight clothes AT ALL, but my sister and mother think that because I am teaching, I should be wearing clothes to hide my body. I think that is ridiculous. I am NOT going to hide my body because I'm a teacher. I don't wear low cut shirts, or tight pants or even tight shirts. But I wear what my size is and my clothes are obviously going to cling to my body. I have a big chest, small waist and a big butt, there's no hiding that unless it's under a moo-moo. Am I wrong? Should I be wearing baggy, frumpy clothing? Or is it ok to dress stylish and in tasteful business casual clothing? I refuse to trade in my grey wool pants and button down shirts for flowery dresses that make me look pregnant. But I'm interested to hear what you girls think.

Re: Ok, here's my question.....
I think that as long as it's in good taste (which knowing you, I'm sure it is!) you should wear whats 'you'. You don't need to wear the flowery dress with the glasses and bun just because you are a teacher.JMO!

Ok, Stacy, you know how I dress, and put it this way, I dress more conservative at work than I do normally.

Re: Ok, here's my question.....
I am also large chested and a teacher. I dress professionaly. I do a clevage check everyday to make sure nothing is showing and nothing is clinging. I would never wear a Mo Mo or anything like it. I dress professionally. Today I had a grey suit on. Yesterday was a blouse and slacks. I think as long as you aren't FLAUNTING your breasts that is it. You cannot hide it!

Re: Ok, here's my question.....
I agree with everyone else - wear what's 'you'...as long as you dress professionally, I don't see a problem.I would rather have a teacher reflect confidence and comfort with her body than send the message that any girl that looks like you, should hide their body - if that makes any sense.

Re: Ok, here's my question.....
from the sound of it...I think what you wear is fine...it seems you know the boundaries...there is NO reason that teachers have to dress frumpy!!!!

I think it sounds like you're dressing fine. I would worry about it.

Re: Ok, here's my question.....
Thanks Emily!
Ok, so I'm glad I'm not the crazy one here. I mean, I think that NO MATTER what I do, people will still notice my large chest. It's just a fact, it's there, and it's not going anywhere anytime soon! (Well, it may be going south in the future, but for now, nope!
) I am not a self conscious person when it comes to my appearance or anything really, but I do think I'm 'tact-conscious', and I know better. I don't know, I wasn't about to go out and buy super big moo-moo's just because my sister and mother think I should, but it just seemed ridiculous. I mean, not for nothing, but my sister is a teacher as well and has quite the rack. And I think it's safe to say she does not own a moo-moo. Sometimes I think they are just looking for a reason to criticize me. I think it's their bonding activity. So poop on them
