That you heard about yourself?

I was in a club in 2000.
I saw an old 'bar' friend from when I was in High School.
She said Theresa Don't worry I won't tell Matt you are here with someone else.
I heard you are getting married.
I SAID WHAT!
I live with ROnnie .
Matt and I broke up MTS ago.
She said RUMOR has it you 2 are getting married......

I DO agree with that - BUT my uncle is very serious and is NOT the type to say something like that - the ONLY reason I believe these stories was the source they came from - IF it came from ANYONE else I would have laughed and said SURE if you say so

If any of the nurses on here work in a hospital I'm SURE they can tell some great stories...makes you wonder sometimes what people are thinking

Snopes says that the Richard Gere one is false, but according to snopes, whether the Jamie Lee Curtis rumor is factual is undetermined.

Ok, I will tell one of the rumors that used to surround me in high school. And for the record, I was voted most unique of my graduating class, had a 4.0 and full scholarship to college......so....apparently, I was, according to everyone else, the class drug addict/alcoholic drop out, because I dressed all weird and shaved my head in 10th grade and wore black lipstick (I know, what was I thinking ). I only spoke to the people in my classes when I had to, and I had friends from other towns, so people just assumed I was a junkie. Which couldn't be FURTHER from the truth because I did not have even one friend who smoked or drank, let alone did drugs! How do I know people thought this....well, I met FH 2 1/2 years ago and apparently we graduated together (whoopsie, never knew!), and he was like, I'm so glad you're clean now. I was like, what? Was I ever dirty? And he said, well, didn't you do a lot of drugs in high school? That's what everyone said! Oh well, I guess it's nice to keep them all wondering!

Jamie Lee Curtis has never given birth - her daughter is adopted. Still doesn't make her a man.
Sorry - I think she's fantastic and I get really annoyed when I hear this rumor. She is an intelligent, earthy, down to earth, interesting person who happens to be a 'handsome' woman instead of a 'beautiful' one.

Last year she did a before and after thing with I think Marie Claire? Or one of those women's mags for older women? Where they photographed her 'before' being made over...cellulite, droopy breasts, no makeup, etc...and then after, with stylists, hairdressers, sturdy undergarments etc, she looked like a million bucks.
