Is there a certain amount of money you should spend on Bridal Party gifts? I don't want to go overboard, as I can't afford it, but I am clueless. Four of my BM's are coming from out of town and I wanted to give them Gift Certificates for their hair and nails, plus get them Jewelry, but I feel I am going way overboard. Then I see things like personalized trinket boxes, and I love them but I feel like I am being cheap getting that ( they are $30 a pop). What is everyone spending on average for gifts, if you don't mind answering. I need some idea. I don't want to be cheap, but I don't want to go broke. Thank You in advance.

Personally, and I know some people may not agree with me, but I think you should do what you can afford to do. It is a privelege to be asked to be in a BP (and yes, a very expensive commitment!) but chances are, you are also going to be in these girls BP's and will have to incur the same expenses. I think something with special meaning is a better gift than something that you just HAD to spend alot of $$ on. JMO!

Re: Ok, I am curious...
We don't really have the $ either, but when I look at the huge checks I'm writing to the florist, musicians, caterer, etc., I figure I better come up with something nice for my BMs. They're travelling, buying their dresses, bring gifts, etc. So, if I have to go in a little bit of debt to get them something nice I will....
Anyway, I'm spending about $100-125 each on the girls, plus about $50 on each flower girl and $30 for the little girl's sisters who weren't asked to be in the wedding but I want to feel special.

I think it also would depend on how big ur BP is. We have a total of 14 people in our BP and are unable to spend a $100 on each of them. I think as long as I put thought into each of their gifts then it won't matter on what is spent. JMO

We have 16 people in our party, plus parents, flowergirl and ringbearer, so we are trying to keep it under $50. I am getting each one her favorite perfume, necklace set, and I think an atomizer, not sure on that one yet.

I have 7 BM. FH has 8 GM. 15 people! Plus gifts for parents (?) - a lot of people. We are trying to keep it to $30 per person, but we are putting as much thought into it as possible.
I've already spoke with BM about it. I told them I couldn't afford to pay for their hair and nails and I certainly didn't expect them to shell it out so I told them they don't have to have their hair and nails done. They all understood and were surprised that I even considered it!

I am only having a MOH and BM so my prices wouldn't help you. We spent over $400 each but that was only for 2 people.
I think that its not the amount of money you spend but buying something that is meaningful to you and your bridal party. Maybe you can customize it for each person. A girl's favorite perfume or a bottle of scotch and a shot glass for a groomsman.
Good luck

Re: Ok, I am curious...
OMG, can I be in your weddings? I have been a BM in a lot of weddings, including the weddings of 2 of my BMs. For both, I paid for my own hair and nails, and got small gifts- one gave us a BBB gift basket with bath and beauty stuff, the other gave an engraved jewelry box and compact. I love my girls, but the only one who has done anything to help me is my MOH- my sister. The other girls have done nothing other tha go w. me to choose the dress- and two are from out of town, and didnt even do that. I think its a privledge to be in someones wedding, and will not be spending that much on gifts for them. I am planning on getting each of them something personalized, but it will be small. JMO, but I dont think I should spend double on this gift that I usually spend, after they are being honored to stand my me as I get married- there were family that I did not choose, and friends that I did. Isnt that a gift in itself?
