ok i feel like im a teenager again- need advice...

so everyone who knows my story knows I went on a date on Saturday night (until Sunday!) yes I was a little naughty but we had a great time and he called me that night.

I havent spoken to him since that night. Now i think we said something about speaking towards the end of the week. I mean I know I could call too, he does most of the calling but I leave the ball in his court.

He is leaving on Saturday for a week. hes going home for Thanksgiving (he came form Ca. ) but decided ot make into a mini trip since he hasnt been home since July. SO hes going for a week and wrokingout there for three days.


the thing is i like him andwant to do things right. I dont want to seem like I am overenthusiastic but dont want to give the brushoff, like I dont really care what happens type of thing.

I hate this!!!!!!!!!!!!

I so envy you!! I love that whole euphoric feeling of a new relationship - where you're flying high, feeling anxious, mixed up, foggy and wonderful all at the same time. Can you try to sneak a quick visit in w/him before he leaves and give him a little Thanksgiving something, like a card or candy or something? Something to let him know you had a wonderful time and you're thinking of him? I know alot of people would say that's being pushy but I'm a romantic at heart and like showing my appreciation for someone.

I look at it like I have nothing to lose. I just got out of a marriage and I am not looking for anything too serious. But I cant help but like him. I am having fun, hes a great guy and I enjoy his company. I was hoping to maybe go into the city Friday before he leaves on Saturday. But I dont want to seem too pushy. Especially since he told me when he came to NY 3 years ago he likes to date a lot and meet new people. Which means there might be several girls he is dating. Although on Sunday morning he had football and offered for me to stay and sleep in while he went to play. To leave me in his room all by myself while he is gone?:)

I probably will call tonight just to show that I am interested and he doesnt have to do all the calling but I just needed other opinions.

I'd call. My DH was like this in the beginning and I pursued him

Plus I cannot stand not knowing things so I would have to call!

I'd say give him a call. You have the perfect excuse that he's going away - it would be so easy for you just to say 'Oh, I called to wish you a good trip and a safe flight' and see where it goes from there.

i agree...we are all adults..by you calling, it show intrest (or still intrested)

you have nothing to lose and everything to gain....

thanks everyone! I know we are all adults and I am not into playing games. Its just i actually like him and want to try and do everything right. Want to let him know I am interested without overdoing it. I know tomorrow is Friday..... I am going to call tonight-
