It's one of Maggie Sottero's gowns. The name of the gown is 'Chanel' ...check it out. My friend and I are going this weekend to try it on! It's sooo pretty! I know it's early...BUT....I love it. I'll let you girls know how it goes!
and it is never too early...I think I found the dress I want already too!

I live in Smithtown so I think I may go to MACYS in lake grove or Adriennes in Islip or one of two bridal shops in commack that have Maggie dresses. I looked on her website for store locations. I was thinking of lying and saying I'm getting married in 2006. Do you think I should? I feel silly going in so early.

Oh we are almost neighbors! I live in Lake Ronkonkoma and am ALWAYS at Smithaven mall!
I wouldn't feel silly going early and I wouldn't tell me anything unless they ask. If they do say '06 if you want. They will never know!

I felt weird telling them my wedding was so far away also, but i told them the truth and they didnt even blink. I don't think it is that uncommon for people to go looking so early.
I am actually going back this friday to try on teh dress I love for a second time :) I have tried a bunch of other ones but keep going back to the same one so I am thinking it is 'the one'

I's BEAUTIFUL Are you getting the matching veil? It's not too early because when I went to RK they had dresses being stored for '07 brides.

I don't know if I'm going to get the matching veil. It's pretty, but I think I may get a simple and plain veil to go with it. I don't want too much detail on the veil to take away from the dress. oh and I'm soo happy to hear that all of you don't think I'm crazy for looking so early! ....I can't wait!
Also if I happen to fall in love with this dress once I try it on, do you think I should get the one with the light purple in it (like the pic) or just all white. My friend told me to get the one with the purple, but I'm so traditional, I'm thinking, 'No, it has to be white!'...but I really do like the light purple detail on it in the pic. I need your opinions!

I agree that you should get a plain veil so that it doesn't take away from the detailing on the dress....teh veil is beautiful though.
As for color, I would say if you like the purple when you see it go with that...I think you will know once you see it!

gorgeous dress!!!! I went to davids bridal and I lied and told them my wedding is July 14, 2006- nobody knew and if i go back a year later i will tell them that the wedding got postponed for another year if they see on their files that i said july 2006 no biggie ;)- let us know though how dress shoppping was- its beautifu!!

I love the Chanel dress!! Its so classy and different. I like how the accents are just on the one side. Very stylish!! Also, I couldn't really tell in the picture but the purple sounds really nice. Its good to be different! I hope when i start looking I can find a dress with a small splash of color. Good luck when you try it on. I hope you love it!

Mandy that is great-I would feel kind of silly going too but it is never too early. Go and tell them you dont know when exactly the date is-put sometime at the end of 06. Try it on and you will get your answer to all those questions about the dress and whether you should buy it now. And have fun...I read somewhere that Maggie dresses are taking a up to 12 months too come in-so-check with the store you go to and see how long it would take to come in. There is nothing lost by going!
I have that dress saved too! It is beautiful, elegant and too be honest I really havent seen another one like it on my search for a dress...though I have plenty saved!!!!
