OK I found the Gown I WANT!

Thanks girls!!!! OK....I plan on going dress shopping this Saturday, as I said before. But last night I asked my FH to describe the 'perfect' wedding gown he would want to see me in. He said...He likes the simple gowns.....he doesn't like a lot of detail! So I was a little upset, because the chanel gown has a lot of detail. I even had my bridal magazine out last night...showing him pics of dresses and asking him 'do you like this one?' lol. I showed him a bunch of pics, to get an idea of what he liked. I of course didn't show him Chanel. From what he told me, I don't know if he would like the Chanel gown...I mean I know it's my gown and I should get a gown I love, but I still want my FH to like it. I am going to try Chanal on anyway and see how it looks, but I found this dress that I like too, that's a little bit plainer and of course I love like a ton of other dresses by Maggie. lol

It's a paloma blanca dress. I found it last night while flipping through the magazine. click on galleries then Paloma Blanca. Then click to the second page of the gallery and it's the middle one. The one with the woman lying on a couch with rose petals on her. I really like it. I think it's also simpler then Chanal, but also very elegant! Do you know if this designer is expensive?

I plan on going to a bridal shop that has both designers.

I think once your FH is going to love whatever dress you choose once he sees it on you and you walking down teh aisle towards him!

lol...that's what I told him! I said, 'You are supposed to say you will look beautiful in any dress you wear!!!' He laughed and said of course.

I think if youlove it so will FH!!
Dont sweat it-youwould be amazed-I show FH all the dresses in the magazines and of course he is the same, likes the plain ones, but every now and then he surprises me and likes one that is a bit more on the detailed side!

I'm going this Saturday with my mom, sister, matron of honor and my other close friend!...I'm sooooo excited!!!

Could you maybe try one on for me!!

I tried on the chanel dress!!!! I loooooved it! I tried on like 8 or 10 other dresses too, but nothing compared to the chanel dress by Maggie. I think it's the one! My mom, sister and two best friends went with me and they all said I looked the best in that one, it was so me. My sister said, 'That dress is so you, just your taste.' The chanel dress they had was the one with the purple in it, Maggie does have the dress in white with the pewter instead of purple, but I wasn't able to see it at the shop, because they only had the whte/purple. I have to call around to find a bridal shop with the white and pewter colors to make sure I like the dress in those colors (I'm sure I will because they showed me how white and pewter looked on another Maggie dress and I liked it!), because the purple was a little too much for me. It was pretty, but I don't want color in my gown. I'm so happy now though, I may have found my dress!

How exciting. I am so happy for you. do you know when your going to get it? I have an appt monday to try on dresses,but I am nervous, If I find the one I want should I get it or wait a little while? Let me know what you think.

If you find the 'one,' ask them how long they think they'll have the dress. I don't want to order mine yet, but if they think they won't have the dress long, I will order it. I don't really want to order it so soon, just in case I gain weight, but if they won't have the dress a year from now, I'll order it. My dress just came out in the fall 2005 collection and they told me that they may only have this dress for a few months because there may be a high demand for this dress, which I don't know if I believe. I'm going to call other bridal shops and see what they said. BTW, don't be nervous! It was so much FUN!!! Enjoy! Good Luck!
