OK, I haven't been on an Airplane in almost 8 years...Help me!!

OK, I haven't been on an Airplane in almost 8 years...Help me!!

I am leaving Friday for a mini weekend away in Florida. What can not go on the airplane, beside the obvious of guns, knives and razorblades? Can I have a cigarette lighter in my pocketbook?? Thanks!! I am a wee bit nervous about flying and I don't want to have anything that will cause me delays or stress!! Thanks!!

I'm not sure of a complete list but I know the following:

No lighters (at all)
no tweezers
no nail clippers
no razors
no scissors

FYI - bring your film on the plane with you. THe new xray machines can and most likely will damage it.

I'm going to FL this weekend too! Where in FL are you going?

The first time after Sept 11th I had to get on a plane I was so nervous- I practically had panic attacks. And I fly all the time. I would just say try not to think about it and if you have to take something to knock you out, go for it!

OK, so I can't bring lighters, razors or tweezers on the plane, but can I pack them in my luggage to go under the plane?? I need my razors and tweezers!

Yes, you can pack a razor and tweezers in your baggage. You can also carry them on the plane, as long as it's not a straight razor.
