I'm annoyed and saddened about this!!!! I DON'T CARE WHERE I SIT!!!!!!!!!!!! I DON'T HAVE TO BE AT THE HEAD TABLE!!!!!!!!! SO WHY ARE OTHER PEOPLE FUSSING ABOUT IT??????!!!!!!!! Someone thinks it's rude not to allow Aunts to sit with the Parents at the head table!!!! For crying out loud!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They have NOTHING to do with the Bridal Party!!!!!!!!!!!! Poor Debi got screamed at, before someone knew that she would be flexible about changes, to make everyone happy, but I'm sitting here, with tears, because I can't believe she, who knows more about wedding planning than this person, would get screamed at. The person apologized, but you know Moms. I'm hurt for her!!!!!!!!!!! She's trying to make everyone happy too!!!!!!!!!! Mary MOB

Do you mean her and her FH's table, the dais? If so, then just her and FH alone.

If you mean your table, whoever she wants, it's her party.

ETA: My mom sat with her brother and sister and their spouses and my father's brother and his girlfriend.

The parents's table. The parents, Pastor and Wife, and some friends, who do not know anyone but Debi's Parents, were at a table. Now, one set of parents plus Aunts will be at another table, because there's not enough room at the parent's table to add Aunts. I don't care who sits where; I'm more concerned that people try to change the seating arrangement, and that someone screamed at my Daughter. She doesn't need it!!!! Mary MOB

Awww Mary...don't cry.

Chris and I are sitting alone at our Dais.

In terms of the first tables on either side (Tables 1-4) seated there will be immediate family (parents, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews). Aunts and uncles will go after that.

MY FMIL was worried about not having Chris' aunts at Table 2 and having her grandchildren there instead. I said first of all they are immeidte family, second of all they are Chris' nieces and nephew's and your grandchildren, they get the 2nd table on chris' side as far as I'm concerned. I also told her if Chris' aunts felt offended to tell them that the bride wanted it that way....because I certainly will not tolerate anyone telling me different.

Just remind yourself and Debi that you can't please everyone.

ugh, NO ONE should be screaming at your daughter about her table arrangements. She or you should tell them as politely as possible that frankly, table arrangements are none of their business. They have no right to change anything, it's not their wedding. They are adults and will sit where they are sat. Period. People have some nerve, i'm sorry she has to deal with this, but you have to tell her that she can't succumb to everyone's request when it comes to doing tables. Tell her to do them however she wants, they will all survive. When they have their own events, they can set up that tables any way they want, but right now it's Debi's wedding and she gets to say who sits where.

Aww I'm sorry people are being jerks.

People need to understand that there is only so much room at one table. Just seat them at the next table and they will deal. If they try to change their seating at the wedding, tell the maitre'd and let him handle it. You and Debi shouldn't have to. That is some nerve if they do try to sit somewhere other than where they are put.

We had my parents, brother, nan, her sister and my dad's brother and his kids. My mom's 'sister' was at the next table w/ her family. We just did it how everyone would fit at tables evenly. No one complained..luckily.

It will all work out

well is she doing a headtable with all her bp or is she going to have a sweetheart table just her and her fh?

If its the parents table, well normally you would get table number 1 bc the bride has odds, and honestly you can have whoever you want at that table, others cant sit there and say they HAVE to be there lol, just let her do what she thinks is right and everyone has to deal with it. Then theres also his parents table which is table number 2 since he gets even numbers, and his parents and close family members or whomever can sit there. If its his aunts yelling about this then his parents and him need to figure that table out

We are having a small table for the 2 of us then a couple tables on either side where the BP and spouses and parents will sit... Can you tell we had the same issue? Alot of it was due to the fact that the Best Man is coming from Alberta Canada and is wife knows NO ONE so we didn't want to just throw her in somewhere.

Oh I'm so sorry Mary! I can't believe someone had the nerve to yell at Debi. She's so stressed as it is and you know what it's her wedding-she can do whatever she wants and they don't have to like it! Debi is so lucky to have someone like you to be there for her! I hope she has an amazing day and that all this stress will be worth it! I know it will!!! STOP yelling at Debi!!!!!!

I thought it was just the bride and groom at the dais?? That's how we had it although we could have had like 6 people there if we wanted.

Then we just put folks by who they were related to - all the friends were altogether too.
