ok seriously hes driving me nuts right now and i need to seriously vent...so i just need some hugs
-but please let me know if im just being cranky and i shouldnt really be mad

ok so my birthday is tuesday so technically my birthday weekend is this weekend...

well FHs friend calls him a week ago and asks him to go out with him for his birthday saturday....fh of course forgets thats also my birthday weekend and says yes...i got all mad at him that he forgot..and his response was 'sorrryyyyyy...i just wasnt thinking about it' he doesnt ask what i want to do, doesnt ask if thats ok...nothing

ive been really busy recently with school starting, teaching a new grade, and 3 grad classes..which is why i didnt plan anything big for my birthday..and after all that i knew that somehow it would be another fight

so a bunch of my friends are going to the bar crawl in the city and want me to do that for my bday...i used to go to a ton of the bar crawls and have had awesome times each time...so i decide that id really like to go

so i tell fh today that i want to go to the bar crawl..and he gets mad at ME....saying that i knew about his friends birthday....then starts saying how i have no money...im like are you F'N kidding me?!?! its MY BIRTHDAY!

then he was like uhhhhh fine i just wont drink at the bar crawl and go to my friends afterwards...and sarcastically i was like greaaaat...not only am i forcing my fiance to go out for my bday but he wont drink at mine, just his friends...so bc i was sarcastic, he was like u know what, forget it im just not gonna go to either...and thats how it ended..we havent talked since (we live together and hes on the next couch llol) this was like 2hrs ago

i mean if fh actually remember my bday and was like you and him should do a joint bday thing, id be totally fine with it...but he didnt ..he forgot...and im not about to spend my birthday going out for someone elses birthday... am i wrong??????

btw what'a a bar crawl?

this time its in the village (but they have them all over manhattan) and if you bring 2 cans of food (to benifit city harvest) its $10 for a cup....there are like 20bars in the village participating and u just bring your cup bar to bar and its only $2 for a beer...and all sorts of other drink and food specials

leave fh home.. I WANNA GO!!!! and we can bring our xyrons and do some drunken DIY projects for cityharvest..

no you have every right to be pissed....i got pissed at my FH before we were engaged it was my birthday and hes like what do you want to do and i told him whatever he wanted, he could put somethign together with his family since mine wasnt with me ( i was up at college and his fam was all i had) so ps he doesnt do anything for my brithday, has everyone come over for a bbq....he doesnt know how to bbq.....so i have to bbq my own bday dinner.....then....HE DIDNT EVEN GET ME A CAKE OR A CARD i almost killed him on the spot. He can go out with his friends in the day and spend the night with you or something. thats silly for him to get mad at you for wanting to go out....but if it doesnt get resolved you could always just go out with your friends, hell feel bad that he isnt with you, promise!

first of all, happy b-day! Mine is Thursday!!!! I am totally on your side. its your b-day and you shold do what you want. Its too bad that its fh friends bday too. he should tell his friend he will hang out another time. you shouldnt have to share your bday

Actually one year FH decided he wasn't going to go out for my birthday, instead he was going to stay home and do school work. Pissed doesn't even begin to describe it. I went out and was so angry with him I had the worst night of my life. I made him drive in to the city at 2 am to pick me up because I was miserable and didn't want to come home by myself. Then when his birthday came, I made sure I didn't make a big deal about it because I was still pissed (3 months later). Do they realize the impact not caring about our birthday has on us?!

I am sooo sorry about FH. (my b-day is next week too!!) I have had people forget about my b-day and im the type of person who brushes it off and still makes a big deal with everyone elses bday, but i stopped doing that. I kinda have the you screw me i'll screw you back attitude.
Tell him to call his friend and say it's your bday too maybe you guys can do something together if not never forget this one and pay him back on his!!! hahahaha

i know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! his birthday is in october...and of course he'll expect me to drop everything to go out for his birthday...and the sad thing is i will...bc thats just how i am u know? id do anything that he wants to do for his birthday and i wouldnt miss it for the world...i think thats what makes me soo mad...that he doesnt do the same for me
