Ok, I'm clueless, can someone explain tiaras

and pricing to me? I hear so many brides buy nice tiaras on Ebay and such for great prices, and in bridal salons they are like, hundreds of dollars. What is the difference? (As you can tell I haven't gone tiara shopping yet!). What are they made of anyway?

Beats me - I got mine from ebay and it looks beautiful - everyone liked it and it cost me about $15 (I actually bought another one that I thought I would like better but it turns out I didn't - that one was $19 - including shipping).

I spent way too much on my dress, I had to save money somewhere!

What they are made of. Some are swarovski crystals, some can be lower quality crystals that have less of a 'sparkle'. Some of them are set in rhodium or even silver..some are just plated metals...it all depends on the quality of what you're buying. Some will say it just doesn't matter because they all look the same...some will disagree. You have to just judge the quality for yourself really!

I love my tiaras (all three of them).. I don't really understand why stores have them so expensive. Honestly I don't. I bought mine all on ebay.

I guess it could be workmanship.. design (custom-made are more expensive).. and maybe the type of crystals stores may use..

I am on a budget.. if you can't physically see the difference.. then I'm sticking with what works.. and these all work and were priced soooooo much cheaper. ($9, $12 & $35)

I also bought 2 on ebay.

The final one I LOVE was $82. It is just as nice as any I saw in the stores for hundreds, and I probably would have paid hundreds cause I love it so much.

I could have gotten it cheaper- the auction before mine went for 22.
here it is.

Another place that had head pieces for a great price is Patchogue Floral/Fantasyland. My friend got hers there for less than half what they wanted in the bridal shop!

This is mine, I got it at Tri County Flea Market for $35. I agree, everyone is looking for something different. I just felt that spending hundreds of dollars on the tiara was crazy. Others will say it completes the look and would spend anything. It's all about what you have to spend, and where you want to spend it.

I got a beautiful tiara from ebay for about $15. I tried it on a couple of times and the craystals started falling off. Sin\ce my wedding is in a couple of weeks, I decided to go for the real thing. I was ready to pay several hundreds of $$$ at Fortunoff when I came across a real Swarovski brand tiara on e-bay. I got it for $150!!! I just got it today. I was overwhelmed when I saw it. IT was beautiful! It was quite heavy as I found out when I let go as I admired how it looks on the mirror and it fell on my nose! Anyway, I'm planning to pass it on to my children and make it their 'something old' so for me it was worth the investment
Good luck finding the perfect tiara

I got the tiara above from ebay for 35 dollars, I like it but it is very heavy, my only concern which i did not think of at the begining is that the combs are on the side, rather than in the middle, which makes me think that with my hair up in an updo that, the combs wil show from the sides, what do you think?
