Ok Ladies lets re invent the moment. Tell ur proposal/engagement stories here
We had planned a Vegas trip with a bunch of close friends for June 23 2004. I was so excited to go to Vegas being that it was my 1st time. The 1st nite there all of us got dressed up to go bar/club hopping. We were at the Venetian checking the place out. All the couples that we were with were taking pics. So of course I asked the FH to take a pic as well. (he hates taking pics sometimes) Well anyway he said no and that we'll take a pic downstairs by the huge statue with the spotlights. I then agreed. As we were walking to the statue to take a pic I thought in my head that I was gonna bend down a little being that I had heels on and was taller and also just to be funny. I then turned around to bend and smile when I seen him on one knee. I then didn't believe him and told him that he was embarrasing me and to get up. I seen the ring but thought it was fake cuz they always played proposal tricks on a friend of mine. Finally after 5 mins of this I believed him, hysterically crying and said yes. Do u believe that my make up got messy. Well it was all owrth it anyway. Sorry I know it was a bit long buthey it's worth it. Now tell the greatest moment of your life

This is straight off of our CH Tri-Folds Pascale worked very hard to keep the proposal a secret. He held the ring for two months and never mentioned anything to me. On April 10th, 2004, the day before Easter, we decided to plan to celebrate Easter just the two of us. We agreed that we would go up to a shrine and exchange gifts and then go out for dinner. Pascale met me promptly at 3:00 pm and we headed up to the shrine. We arrived at the shrine and Pat handed me the huge bag and told me I could look inside. When I opened the bag, I saw a big, beautiful Easter basket filled with candy and a purse that I had been begging for. I asked him if I could open the basket and he said yes. I took the purse out and he said to look inside because there was more. I looked in and found a plastic Easter egg and opened it up and inside was my shiny engagement ring! I began to cry as he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. After I was able to stop the tears from flowing I looked at him and said “Of Course” and today our dreams come true!

fh and i always threaten each other with 'knuckle sandwiches' - no idea how the joke started, but it's been going on for a while... anyway, we were at the restaurant where we had our first date. we had a great steak dinner with some wine, and then the waitress asked us if we cared for dessert. of course i said yes, and so she brought 1 dessert menu for the both of us. we started reading the menu together, and a couple of minutes in i realized that the last dessert on the menu was 'knuckle sandwich: knuckles of rich chocolate covered with caramel'. that's when i suspected something was up, and i was so shocked that i couldn't stop laughing. fh denied having anything to do with it, but insisted that we order it. so i did, and the waitress brought a little box on a plate.
now you would think that was the ring, right? well, when i opened it it was actually a piece of paper with a digital pic of fh's hand between 2 slices of bread with lettuce and tomato!!!!!!! on the other side was the sweetest note asking me to marry him. then he took the ring out of his pocket

It was my 30th birthday 2 months ago. So we had a candlelight dinner with Lobster, Steak, etc., and Cristal it was delicious. Prior to us eating dinner while we were sipping on champagne, my fiance was hyping me up, telling me this gift is the best gift I am going to receive, he buys me alot of jewelry so I just figured it was a tennis bracelet or something. Me oblivious to what was about to happen, I just enjoyed the champagne and went on with the evening. So, then we ate and then he says, do you want your b'day gift now and I'm like, yeah it's already 10pm, so he comes back to the table, standing in front of me, so I'm looking like okay....then he gets down on his knee and proposes, it was so beautiful, I just started crying, of course after saying yes and seeing this beautiful ring he picked out.... This was the best, I was totally shocked and I am still in shock now, cuz I never expected it...and that's the best when you don't expect it at all....

We went to a friends wedding at Stewart Manor on My FH's birthday. I spent the day running around doing errands and when I realized it was time to get ready for the wedding I was so stressed I told him I didn't want to go. Well he forced me to get dressed and we went and he just kept insisting I woud have a good time although I didn't think I would because the only people we knew that would be there were the bride, groom and FH's brother and SIL and that was it. Well the more I drank the better I felt.
The it came time for the bouquet toss. I did not want to stand up but my FSIL made me, she stood with me which confused me since she is married and was pregnant. The the bride threw the boo-k and of course it came right to me. Then I got all paranoid because I though some guy I don't know is gonna catch the garter and he'll be touching my leg and my boyfriend will freak out. Next thing I know I turn around and my FH is holding the garter. What a relief.
Then we got in the center of the dance floor. The DJ gave my FH the mic and said do you have anything to say. So my FH congratulated the bride and groom. Then he announced it was his birthday so everyone applauded. The he said,'This just so happens to be my girlfriend of 7 years. She is my best friend and I love her with my whole heart and ..' Then he got down on one knee in front of all these people and asked me to marry him.
I later found out he had planned it all with the bride and groom months earlier. When I look at all the pics now you can see that when they did the boo-k toss all of the girls stood like 5 feet behind me and the same for him with the garter because as pople walked in they told them that I had to catch the boo-k .

Re: Ok Ladies lets re invent the moment. Tell ur proposal/engagement stories here
DH and me came on vacation to miami for our one year anniversary and to visit our best friends. We went out to dinner to this nice restaurant, both my sisters in law were there too. After dinner the waiter brought champagne to make a toast, and everybody started to cry, I didn't know what was going on. DH was next to me asking me to look at my champagne glass, of course I didn't know why; turns out my ring was in the bottom of my champagne glass! I was very surprised and started crying, he went down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I said yes after 10 minutes when i finally stopped crying and was able to talk!
