Not in the normal mail truck and he took the mail out of his TRUNK! Has the postal bag and everything! Weird!

Maybe the truck is broken? Is he wearing a uniform? Maybe its the supervisors delivering the mail today.......

If it's not too full, I imagine mail trucks are pretty light for such a long vehicle and harder to control in weather like this.

That or maybe thinking that we'd actually get the 5 to 6 inches of snow they all swore we'd get, they sent him home with the morning mail. That way he go straight on his route without coming in, just in case he couldnt make it in for this truck and then back out. Also means he could go straight home without risking the trek to and from the post office.
Just a thought. Still. Seems kind of funny to me.

The Mail truck is rear wheel drive, if they are using the old style truck...If So I would rather be in a front wheel drive car...

My dad is a mailman and the trucks are HORRIBLE on the ice. If my dad's post office gave them the option to use their own cars, I think they would jump at it. Those trucks are dangerous!!
Poor Daddy is out in this mess. He was in a foul mood this morning

If i remember correctly my postal worker friend told me one time that when they first start they arnt allowed to get a truck. They have to pass probation or something in that order and then they can drive the lovely truck. Until they pass they use their own cars.
It was a while ago but I think that is what the deal was

Julz didn't think that anyone would believe me- it was just so strange. They always come in the truck- hey but anything in the name of safety- I commend him for getting the job done!

I told my dad and he said that the guy could have been a sub and they didn't have a truck for him.
Dad was out there today. He is SO ready to retire. My is begging him to just wait until after the wedding...
