For my BM dresses, I will be having each girl in an entirely different dress: some patterns/prints, some plain, different materials, and different shades of the color orange (light, dark, mango, tangerine, etc, etc- you get the picture).
My headache is this: I dont know where to begin! I casually have looked while looking for my dress and looked a lot online, etc. but I dont know how to actually coordinate this look. I know that a lot of designers have most of their dresses come in most colors but I really dont want 7 dresses in different styles but the same designer. But its all getting so confusing and jumbled for me to look everywhere and jsut know they all go...
What is you advise on how to look? And who to bring? Should I schedule one day for each BM and search woth that one until she finds the dress and then go on to the next?
Please help me ease this headache!

I am in a bridal party (next Oct.) and the bride is Jewish...she says that in the Jewish custom...all the girls can wear different dresses...so that's what we are doing.
She actually picked the designer (Lazaro) the skirts, and the color...she's letting all of us pick our own tops.
She liked all of the designs so she doesn't care which one we go with.
Just an idea....

I was in a wedding where the bride sent us all a swatch of brown fabric and told is to match to the best of our ability (color) and pick whatever style we wanted...we looked great...I'll attach a pic.... But I'm following suit...I picked a color and the girls can pick whatever style they like!

why not do something similiar to btrfly and send them all a swatch or a pic of one dress you like and let them do the searching to find matches. get them to send you the website where they found the dress they like or a pic from the store if they can manage. give them some ideas or guidelines of what you want first. that way you can avoid making trips with each girl and still have a say in each dress in case you dont like what they've picked. let them help you out and they may feel relieved and excited to have more control.

Dawnie- you are too funny. If I actually HAD a computer at work - this is what I would be doing all day! I looked at all the sites- many of the dresses are ones I have in mind, yes. I just need to find my patterns to throw in- dont want all solids.

Same here, I simply gave all my bridesmaids a swatch of the color and told them to find their own dress. The only thing I emphasized was it HAS to be the exact color as the swatch, not a shade off. So far it's gone well, one has invited me to see the dress before she picked it out. Luck to you.
