Ok - now I'm FREAKING out

I went for my 3rd fitting today (wedding is Saturday) and my dress is still not right. Every time I go the woman makes it worse and now I have to change the top of the dress to cover her mistakes.

My favorite is that I told her that I didn't want to wear a bra so please sew cups into the dress. She tells me no problem. Tonight at my third fitting she tells me that she can't fix the top of my dress until I get a bra????? HELLLLLOOOO????

So now in order to fix her mistakes I have to make my halter top dress strapless and then spent the entire night trying to find a bra that fits and would work - of course I found nothing.

I have to go back to the shop on Thursday at 2:00 and have her finish fixing the dress. I am so aggravated about this whole situation and that I have to even go back again.

The salespeople at the shop are absolutely wonderful but the seamstress is just plain awful - they even did a lousy job on my mom's dress. I knew everything was going too smoothly.........

Can anyone recommend a specialty bra shop in Suffolk that allows you to return bras???? It would be a huge help and relief if I could find a bra.

I remember Sunny freaking out over the SAME thing just before her wedding. Everything came together for her (she looked GORGEOUS in the pictures she posted) and I'm sure it will be okay for you!

Lori-I can recommend a shop in Oceanside who is VERY nice- it's called Mary Lerner. I think they will let you return. Is there another seamstress that can come in and fix this? Did you talk to the owner and let them know that your wedding is SATURDAY????? It will get fixed so try to calm down. Although I know it's easier said than done- I would be the same way!!!!!!

I'm so sorry to hear about what's going on. I would be so mad at the seamstress too! I would definitely talk to the owner to get $$ back from what you are paying for the seamstress. Can you also FM me and let me know what seamstress this is. Thanks!

First if you are looking for a place then Blums in Patchogue. But this should not be the issue you wanted a halter dress you should have a halter dress no if and's or buts PERIOD!!!

Call the owner get them on the phone and DEMAND that it be done and done correctly!

I'm so sorry you are going through this right now...

The girls at work recommended Mary's Corsetierre in Woodbury so I'll try there first thing tomorrow morning and then I'll hit Blums on my way to the shop.

What kills me is awhile ago I asked one of the seamstresses if they could make the dress strapless and she said absolutely not (and I have witnesses to this). Now my seamstress said its not a problem.....

I just called the shop, owner is not in. I told the woman my saga - she spoke to the seamstress and NOW she is saying that she does not recommend making the dress strapless after saying what a great idea it was last night.

She now wants another seamstress to look at it but I know the other one is a total witch and I don't want to work with her.

I am flipping out.

Something similar happened to my future-sister-in-law (but she was in NJ). She ended up getting a new gown off the rack 3 days before the wedding!!!!!

I agree with the other girls that the store should not charge you for alterations! That is crazy! Where do these bridal stores get the seamtresses???? Could you FM me the name of the bridal shop that is giving you such a hard time?

I am really really sorry that this is happening to you.... That is absolutely ridiculous... And for every other brides safety you should post the name of this Store so that no one uses this seamstress again. you need to demand some type of compensation from this place. You need to speak with the owner and get this straight.. You bought a halter dress, IT SHOULD NOT BE CHANGING INTO A STRAPLESS!!!!!
