I went for my 3rd fitting today (wedding is Saturday) and my dress is still not right. Every time I go the woman makes it worse and now I have to change the top of the dress to cover her mistakes.
My favorite is that I told her that I didn't want to wear a bra so please sew cups into the dress. She tells me no problem. Tonight at my third fitting she tells me that she can't fix the top of my dress until I get a bra????? HELLLLLOOOO????
So now in order to fix her mistakes I have to make my halter top dress strapless and then spent the entire night trying to find a bra that fits and would work - of course I found nothing.
I have to go back to the shop on Thursday at 2:00 and have her finish fixing the dress. I am so aggravated about this whole situation and that I have to even go back again.
The salespeople at the shop are absolutely wonderful but the seamstress is just plain awful - they even did a lousy job on my mom's dress. I knew everything was going too smoothly.........
Can anyone recommend a specialty bra shop in Suffolk that allows you to return bras???? It would be a huge help and relief if I could find a bra.
Thanks ladies!

You absolutely should NOT have to deal with this right now. I suggest you go to the owner and tell her, nicely, that you purchased a halter dress and you intend to wear a halter dress on Saturday. They need to find a way to fix it without completely changing the style or you will see them in small claims court.
That last part should convince them. Say it nicely but firmly. You could even mention that you visit this site and therefore communicate with a lot of local brides and you have the power to affect their business negatively.
WOW Lauri i hope it all works out for you... Would you please tell us what place did this to you so other brides can avoid this problem??? I heard Tulla from the wedding center was good but i am not at that point yet...
Good luck No matter what you will be beautiful

OH--MY--GOSH!!!
I can't believe they're putting you throught this!!!! I'm just starting to look for my dress and I've been hearing horror stories about so many places...what shop was this at???
Something like this happened to me with a bridesmaid dress. The salon the bride had us order our dresses from was very nice, but they hardly spoke English! The seamstress didn't speak at all and somewhere in the translation, things got all screwed up and girls with bras got cups and those who planned on cups had no bras!!! And we picked this up two days before the wedding and the old lady insisted she was right! Needless to say, some of us were very self conscious all night! But it did work out in the end and we all looked beautiful.
I hope you have a happy ending!!! And whatever happens, don't let the store get away with having had this happen to you!!!
