I thought that if you are single and made under 70K that you get $600 from the IRS for the stimulus thing? ...Why did they only give me $375???? Was i wrong to assume that you get the full $600?

im calling my accountant now .... im more upset because we were kinda counting on that money ..FH makes too much so i know he wont get anything but i was told it was $600 for singles , $1200 for married and married w/ kids $300 each kid

Yeah I am not sure why either! I got the full 600 but FH didn't he got 350 but I am not sure why, we didn't think he was going to get anything because of the audit but he did.

I think if you make over a certain amount, the amount declines... It's all relative to your income.

ok sorry girls for the panic I just spoke to my accountant nad he said my full $600 should be here tomorrow that the 375 is Fh's ...I too didnt think he gets anything

Just out of curiosity, for the people who received their stimulus' can you FM me roughly what your salary is?
I make peanuts, so I think Im going to get the full 600.00 but I was curious.

not everyone is getting the full $600....it says UP to $600. I got $480. But that was because I owed them $117. It also varies on your salary. A coworker of FH's got $500 and thats without owing the IRS anything.

Well, how much do you girls think I'll get back? I owed $2,400 and didn't get any $$ back, not even 1cent and I make just under 60K. I hope I'll get the full $600 cause i'am counting on that...

FH got his today he was ytold he would get $600... he got $300, he is going to be irate he wanted me to take the $600 and make the last payment on our rings.

It is UP TO 600, it depends on how much you make/how much total tax was on your return/if you have any other past unpaid taxes/any unpaid student loans or child support... In a few weeks another letter is going to be sent telling you how they calculated the amount.
Go to IRS.gov for more info. There is even a hotline set up for people with questions, although im sure the wait time is insane.. everyone is really anxious.
FYI: if you received a Refund Anticipation Loan from your preparer, you will receive a paper check..
