FH is ordering gifts for his groomsmen. He is torn between Swiss Army knives which are definitely useful or pocket watches which are very nice also. He has spent money on them all already jazzing up their tuxes with accessories and the pocket watches are a tad more expensive but he can't decide so I'm going to have to tally up the votes and find out what the winning gift will be. FH and I thought about the Swiss army knives too but got a bit 'superstitious' and decided against giving out some sort of 'weapons of destruction' on our wedding day -- - it sounds silly, i know, but that's how we made up our minds -- just thought it may help you too

i would go with the army knife... it's more useful, and if you dont want to break the bank, i would go with that....

One of my guy friends gave pocketwatches to our guy friends that were in his bp as their gift. They all thought they were really cool.
I think the swiss army knives are also a good idea, but I kind of feel like the pocketwatches are more wedding related.
Not very helpful I know, but I do think both are good gift choices.

My FH would rather get a pocketwatch (I asked). But I think it depends on the guys. I think there is something cool about a pocketwatch. They would probably never buy one themselves, so it might be nice as a gift.

I would say swiss army knife.....that's what FH would prefer....although my brother has a pocket watch and loves it....so I would think about the type of guys you're dealing with!

We did pocket watches. The guys loved them. We were at a christening and 3 of the guys were wearing theirs!

you try giving them less violent stuff like cuff links, money clips, business card holders or pens which they can also use and you can have them engraved with their names for a personal touch. check this site out. they have lots of groomsmen gift ideas which you can also personalize.
