I bought shoes for my wedding that are almost 1 1/2 inches high ...now if i decide to change halfway through the reception into something else on my feet wont my dress drag because the hem is perfect with these shoes ... What is everyone else doing?

I wouldn't change shoes..your dress is measured according to the height of the shoe..so i think your dress would drag..im keeping the same shoes on all night

yeah the dress is hemmed for the shoes that you bring for the alteration. I plan on going this week and trying to find a flip flop or sandal that is a little bit of a platform. My heels are only about 1 1/2 too, so i think i'll be able to find something around the same height. Or at least i hope so cuz my feet were hurting just having them on for the alteration!

same here... my dress was measured from my shoes height...if i take it off the whole dress will drag! my shoes are 3 1/4' - 4'!

what if you bought a moderately higher heal..maybe..2.5 inches..and then used those inserts! they sell inserts you can buy to make the shoe more comfortable

im wearing small heels cause i cant walk in big heels with my knee....but after our first dance i am puttin gon my flip flops i got lol by thet point i wont care if the dress is dragging

they usually hem the dress so it's about an inch off the ground with your shoes on. i think if you got a small platform sandal or even sneakers with thicker soles you'd be fine. the dress will probably hover right above the ground with shorter shoes.

I buing those thick flip flops. My heals are 4 inch! Big mistake, but they were the prettiest shoes I found!
