Rocky Point/Sound Beach...but it's out east on Long Island. Don't know where you want to look. East Patchogue, too.

LI is expensive in general. Me and FH bought a house last september in West Babylon, so we are right in suffolk. Our house was reasonable (still $$$$), but compared to some others we saw we lucked out. I love our neighborhood. Schools are good, a lot of young couples and little kids. Our taxes arent bad because we are in suffolk. We looked for so long and it is a very depressing process, unless you have 500,000 to spend. We didnt. We looked in Nassau for a while but you were going to spend almost 400,000 for nothing and then the taxes are like 8,000. You have no property. FM me if you want more info. Check out Babylon, we really like it.

these are affordable areas with good school districts..but far from Long Beach..LI in general is very $$$ like all other posts have said.
