Re: ok so confused and down....
i just am not feeling your CP's at all. i know you worked hard at them. but i think having maybe just one, as a decoration for the place card table or maybe next to your card box, would be okay.
Is that whole large structure with the blue roses on the bottom and the columns and the horse and carriage the centerpiece for one table? I sort of assumed it was a large display for the card box table or something similar. The style of it aside, if that's your CP, it's just, well, too big! Your guests need to be able to talk across the table. CPs ae usually small, so people can talk over them, or tall, so seated people can talk under them. That's so big your guests will have to get up and walk around the table to safely talk to each other.
That said, it is, well, a bit much for a centerpiece. Again, as I said about the flowers, simpler probably is better. Yes, it's your wedding, and you can have whatever you want. But you said you wanted people to talk about your wedding for months afterward--you want them to talk about how beautiful it was. Not about how they didn't like it. You said you wanted people to be honest, so to be brutally honest, you should tone down the princess and Cinderella elements. Have fewer of the castles and plastic coaches. They're more appropriate for a little girl's birthday party than a wedding. Paint the ones that you have white. You don't have to keep repeating the theme--have it printed on napkins and menu cards, and that's all that you need on the tables. Have a floral centerpiece with some sparkly bits, some scattered jewels on the table, and it will look very regal without going over the top. Have an amazing cake that fits your theme, and decorate the cake table to go with it. Wear an incredible Cinderella gown and a big whopping tiara! Get that pumpkin coach I know is for rent on Long Island to take you to the ceremony. That's plenty, and people will talk about how elegant, but still fun and unique and YOU the wedding was, not how it was overdone.
