Your BM dresses absolutely do not have to be in the same fabric as your gown. Don't even worry yourself with that.

NOPE! The only real thing is that they should be somewhat similar in style and formality..so if you're wearing this amazingly fancy ballgown with a 12 foot train, your BM's shouldn't be in tea length cocktail dresses. The level of formality should remain constant (you're always the star of course) but nope, the fabric does not have to be the same. It'salos a good diea to keep a similar shape. A line for A line, ballgown for ballgown..you don't always have to do this, I mean the bride can always go all out, but you don't want the bride in a sheath and then BM's in full poufy A line princess gowns, etc.

Your bridesmaids dresses do not need to be the same type of material as your dress. Depending on the type of wedding you are having, ie, formal, informal, imbetween, the dresses can be any length.

I don't think so. Mine is organza & my maids's are matte satin.

They dont have to be..mine werent but I strongly suggest having theirs be of similar fabric to each other.
I have a pic if you want tosee how it looks if they are not (from a friends wedding).
She had the MOH wear satin and the jr BM..but the BMs wore chiffon and it didnt pull together in pictures.

I like how it looks.... nothing says you have to I am because i think it looks neater but it depends which materials
my gown is silk taffeta and i didn't think satin looked nice with it i felt it cheapened the look
