i could be wrong but i think its instead of throwing rice or blowing bubbles...people wave the ribbon wands

you wave the ribbon wands as the couple leaves the church... this is most likely something i am going to do because my church does not allow anything at all to be thrown (ex- rice, bird seeds, petals,) and bubbles i have heard stain.

ohhhhh!!!!!!! i get it now! lol thats annoying that the church wont let you throw anything though, but thats a cute alternative at least

My church doesnt allow anything to be thrown so it seems like the ribbon wands are a good alternative...They seem to be sorta expensive to DIY (50ft of ribbon for 50 wands works out to something like $70 where I was looking...) so there are a few websites that sell personalized wands for something around $40...

I'm doing 80 wands for about $30

pkg. of 20 wooden dowels $2 at michaels
3 different color ribbons (thin quarter inch ribbon) i got on sale when they were 2 for $1
1 can white spray paint to paint the dowels FREE from FFIL
