to bridal reflections to try on dresses this is my first dress appointment so keep your fingers crossed that it goes well

so I went to Bridal Reflections in Massapequa with my sister (MOH) and 1 of my bridesmaids. Of course, as soon as I walk in, there are 2 GORGEOUS girls size 2 looking fabulous in their gowns....

All of a sudden, I wanted to leave ... I have been having major dress anxiety because I am not skinny - I wear a 12-14 and I wasnt sure about finding dresses that I liked in my size to try on etc.

Well SUSAN was the woman who helped me and she was AMAZING, totally made me feel comfortable and beautiful. She asked me about the look I was going for and she pulled a whole bunch of dresses.

By about the 5th dress, I was feeling ehhhhh. The dress' were ok, but not 'THE DRESS' material. I tried on a bunch of different styles, materials, cuts etc. Susan grabbed a dress of one of the racks on a whim and I put it on. It was GORGEOUS and fit like it was made for me The dress is Vienna by Maggie Sottero. I love this dress but want to try on a few others since this was only my first time out.

We also did some bridesmaid shopping and both the girls agreed that the Dessy 2060 is perfect in the Pomogranete color

Here are both dresses! (so far ) ALSO maggie Freya which I love!

Karin I'm glad I saw you today! I never see LIW brides (or if I do, I don't know who they are!). I came on here to see how you did today...I went to Bridal Reflections last week and found one that I really liked and I was back there today with my mom and to show my aunt for her opinion. The dress I love from there is the Vienna also!! How funny is that!? Isn't it beautiful!? I'm stuck between that and another lace one by maggie! her dresses are beautiful!

And the people at BR are so nice also. Don't worry about the size of dresses. I'm about the same size as you and i've fit into more dresses than I thought!!! Can't wait to see what else you find. It's so much fun!
