OK.... so I'm having my FREAK OUT now.

OK, I just did a quick budget... and did some very conservative estimates.... and I come up with just under $30,000.00. Some stuff is already paid for, so let's say there's 25,000.00 of that budget left.


ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! That's a heck of a lot of money. This is for a wedding for 100 people.It just seems like SO much money -- for one day -- to be gone... but again, these are conservative estimates, and I want a NICE wedding... but wow, 30,000.00 for ONE day. Seems kind of insane.

I guess it's true what they say... champagne tastes and beer pockets... LOL. I can't even see where I can cut some $$$ from that. Wow. I guess I'll be bringing those recyclables to the supermarket for the 0.05!

Yeah I'm having 80-100 people had a budget of 10k & I think I'm over that already & have not booked all my vendors yet, it's scary

Same here...FH and I did an estimate of the total wedding cost including the HM the other night...it is friggin insane...

i still don't know how much our wedding cost - part of me is afraid to actually total it all up.......but dont worry somehow you manage to pay for it all - i dont know how but you just do it

i know how you feel. it makes me sick thinking about how we are even gonna come up with all this money and then spend it all just for 1 day. that is so funny , fh and i brought our recycables to the market last week in the freezing cold and my fingers were almost frost bitten, and it only came out to $5 !!! hahaha I wont be getting too far with that

I feel for all of you who are freaking out about the $$$$.

I am not sweating it too much...with my estimates, I am coming in at about $10,000. This includes RH, DJ, Florist, Church, Limo, & Photography and includes all gratuities and service charges and tax.

Although, my wedding is on the smaller scale 75-85 ppl. I didn't have to sacrifice that much to get most of the things I wanted to incorporate in my wedding. I think when all is said and done with the wedding and HM, we will be at about $15,000.

See, I'm working the other way. I have a number that is my maximum for vendors and most little things. This does not include honeymoon, as FH and I are paying that on our own. Nor does it include my gown, alterations, shoes, jewelry, veil, as my mother offered to pay for that.

I took that number and am working down from it. So I allotted X percentage toward each vendor and am trying to stick with those numbers....instead of adding upwards and not having a final total until the day of.

ETA: It still makes me sick when I think of what else this money could really go towards...but I know it'll NEVER happen again.
