OK, I just did a quick budget... and did some very conservative estimates.... and I come up with just under $30,000.00. Some stuff is already paid for, so let's say there's 25,000.00 of that budget left.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! That's a heck of a lot of money. This is for a wedding for 100 people.It just seems like SO much money -- for one day -- to be gone... but again, these are conservative estimates, and I want a NICE wedding... but wow, 30,000.00 for ONE day. Seems kind of insane.
I guess it's true what they say... champagne tastes and beer pockets... LOL. I can't even see where I can cut some $$$ from that. Wow. I guess I'll be bringing those recyclables to the supermarket for the 0.05!

Thats ok...Go on Martha Stewart Weddings and sign up for their budgeting tool...You will vomit when you see what it tells you your total cost is...It told me after all my vendors and smaller things (hair, makeup, gifts) my wedding will cost me $54,000....
oh lord I just threw up in my mouth a little bit...
I went on weddingwire.com... and on PWP.com, and theknot.com they're all coming up with about the same amount of money.
I'm seriously freaking out, we a year to get this together, and we need to look for a place to live. I hope our gifts come in large cardboard boxes!

don't worry joanne!!! it is a lot of money, but your wedding will be beautiful and years after it you will look back and say 'wow we had the most beautiful wedding ever!'
For 30,000.00 I'd rather have the most beautiful house ever. Seriously. I can LIVE in my house... I can't LIVE in my wedding dress.
I'm so torn right now.... I want the wedding... but I really am not in a place where I can justify that kind of money for ONE day.

lol welcome to long island! i read one review of a girl who swears she did it with $12K. now i am wondering if there is any way in hell i can keep it under $50k. but i am 'lucky' enough to have a family twice as big (thinking 220-240) :) work hard. its one night but its expensive around here so you may as well make it what you want it to be.
