ok so scratch the bands..anyone have dj recommendations and price quotes?
ok so after telling fh and his mom all the info you girls gave me (thanks btw!) we all decided that although a band would be nice, its really not worth the money if we are completely fine with a dj (we almost rather a dj, but fh's mom wanted us originally to get a band until she found out how much they go for)
So anyways..can anyone give me their recommendations on DJ's and price quotes if possible? ohh ive also seen some pics of people on here that had dj's but also like a drummer or something on the side to add to it, anyone have info on this also? thanks so much for all of your help!!!!

we booked a band but just from reoccuring names I've seen on this website I've heard good things about high voltage, fm entertainment, starlight express. I'll add more as I think of them

I booked starlight express, the drums thing is percussionist and you can add that to your package, its extra just so you know. I love starlight and they are great but just so you know they are a bit more expensive than other dj's and honestly depending on the package you get it can be close to what a band costs, a little bit less but not far behind. BUT this again depends on what you get, if you get basic package it wont be that bad. Percussionist is extra, but if you get percussionist, sax, lighting, plasmas, photo montages, they also have their own photographer that comes to the ceremony to take pics and puts them up later on the plasma screens, he is also there during reception and until you leave, and they guarantee at least 600 pics.
I would definitely check them out though and you can tell them your budget and work out a package

we only looked at Long Island sound and In The Mood. both were great! and the prices were reasonable.
