Let this be the official headcount thread of what I refuse to call a GTG simply because I call it a 'GOT TO GO' and thats just seriously lame.

The date:
August 11, 2007

Location:
My place - directions will be sent closer to the date. I live about 2 miles from the Queens/Nassau border and 3 blocks from the LIRR if you prefer to take a train.

Time:
I dunno, you tell me. We can go as late as we need to.

You can post your response here or FM me privately.

DH's and children are welcome. I have a room in which we can put up a 'pack n play' or a carriage in the event a lil one needs to sleep. It does not have an a/c but we have two fans.

Republicans may try to take advantage or preferred seating options but will likely be unsuccessful. At the same time, DH would like to use these bumper stickers:

as party favors.

I plan on serving heroes and cold salads (ie. cole slaw, potato salad, macaroni salad). Please let me know what you would like to bring. If you have any specific food allergies or dietary restrictions that will send you into a tizzy, please let me know so I can make sure you are safe.

For mommies bringing babies, I cannot supply um well um you know the 'natural stuff' - you gotta do that yourselves. If only babies ate pigs in blankets!

OK ladies, we are in the home stretch. I will be sending directions from all points east (and yes WEST) tomorrow.

Please confirm with me (via FM) if you are listed with pending guests as to whether or not they are coming. If you have not yet responded and you would like to come, you are of course welcome. We do need to order some food and would like to make sure we have enough for all guests.

I am really looking forward to seeing everyone.

again as a reminder, if everyone can throw a chair or two in the trunk of their car (except Gracie doesnt use chairs yet), it would be helpful!!!

put yes for DH & I. DH's Nana isn't doing so hot, so depending on that situation, we may not be able to go, but as of now we are So YESSS!!

Kerry if it is any consolation, when someone is not well, it helps the family to have some semblance of a regular life - as hard as it may be. It is ok to go out and be out. I lived it for 9 months. I am sure your DH's nana would want you both to enjoy your lives.

Yea, right now every weekend is spent at the hospital. Now DH's Nana has blood clots. It doesn't look to good. I was on the Hospice website yesterday, yes its useful but so sad. I think we should be able to go, I'll get DH out and about. He's taking it hard because he lived with his Nana almost all his life and there is no 'man' on that side of the family, just his aunts who are all so stressed, its beyond belief. DH talked with the Hospice folks Sunday. I stayed in the hospital room with his 16 yr old cousin.

Ok, if Democrats are on board, then I'm happy!!

I'd like to come! DH won't be there because he'll be home with our DS who can't go because he's not had his immunizations yet and the doctor says no to big crowds. I'll let you know what I'll be bringing.
