Let this be the official headcount thread of what I refuse to call a GTG simply because I call it a 'GOT TO GO' and thats just seriously lame.

The date:
August 11, 2007

Location:
My place - directions will be sent closer to the date. I live about 2 miles from the Queens/Nassau border and 3 blocks from the LIRR if you prefer to take a train.

Time:
I dunno, you tell me. We can go as late as we need to.

You can post your response here or FM me privately.

DH's and children are welcome. I have a room in which we can put up a 'pack n play' or a carriage in the event a lil one needs to sleep. It does not have an a/c but we have two fans.

Republicans may try to take advantage or preferred seating options but will likely be unsuccessful. At the same time, DH would like to use these bumper stickers:

as party favors.

I plan on serving heroes and cold salads (ie. cole slaw, potato salad, macaroni salad). Please let me know what you would like to bring. If you have any specific food allergies or dietary restrictions that will send you into a tizzy, please let me know so I can make sure you are safe.

For mommies bringing babies, I cannot supply um well um you know the 'natural stuff' - you gotta do that yourselves. If only babies ate pigs in blankets!

OK ladies, we are in the home stretch. I will be sending directions from all points east (and yes WEST) tomorrow.

Please confirm with me (via FM) if you are listed with pending guests as to whether or not they are coming. If you have not yet responded and you would like to come, you are of course welcome. We do need to order some food and would like to make sure we have enough for all guests.

Leslie - I'm on the undecided as to what to bring list. I can bring something light like a fruit salad, or I wait until we get closer to the date and then help you fill in whatever is missing.

WellI think I am going to make the dips I made for Betsy's GTG.so crudite is still open. Or a regular salad. anything is fine really. I think there is going to be a lot of food!

What exactly goes with your dips? Carrots, celery, maybe some peppers? They have some pretty nice platters at my Waldbaums or at Uncle Guisseppes, which means I would not even have to cut anything!!!! But I would need ideas on what should be included, and shall I get some crackers and chips for it also?

Any cut veggies are good. I think Marnie has chips and pretzels covered as she is coming from a Bar or Bat Mitzvah and had to bring non refrigerated items.
