Ok somethings been bugging me, I need advice........

I tell FH that I want to book the florist and what does he say........... are you sure you want to book someone that doesnt have a store front!!!! I just start freaking out... why would he say something like that.....he knew that was a fear of mine....I like to know that a person isnt going to walk up and leave.....now what do i do....he has put this doubt in my head...should I see more florists or what???????

He can be soooo annoying!!!!!!!

What would you do???

i would see more florists. it's his wedding too, and maybe he's not comfortable with it and doesnt want to seem like a pansy.

there are plenty of great florists out there WITH storefronts that will ease both of your worries.

I think this is NOT something to fight about because of how many options there are.

We really didnt fight about it. He just put doubt in my head, he said he was comfortable with whatever choice I made and flowers werent his concern. But DAMN him and his doubt, making me doubt myself.

maybe he just said it out of cocern and not to make u doubt urslef. if u loved the flowers and the florist and i know how u are so i know uve done ur research, go for it and dont worry about a thing!

what do you mean by no store front? more of a warehouse type office?

if so, that does not bother us at all if the presentation and price are good as they were in our case but check out pther places then just to be sure if oyu have doubts or he does

She works out of her home. The price is great and then I can have more money to play with it just ***** to hear that from him. I havent signed the contract yet so thats why I am asking.

I just got the Knots best and there are some florists there that I hadent known about that I might want to check out now.

I am going to sleep on it and then have 1 final conversation with FH and then by Monday I will have made a final decision.

He is guy they all say that.

My FH said the same thing. Go with you gut I think you vendor is pretty reputable. If you need a reference get some to show him. In the end I told FH that the reason we are able to save money is because we are not paying for them to maintain an officespace.

Hi,
See as many florists as possible. That goes for any vendor. Do as much research as you can. Flowers can get expensive real fast. So make sure if you can save as much as you can. Weddings are expensive..but saving a buck here and there will feel good.

I don't think there is anything wrong with picking a florist that works out of her home. I have met with three florist so far (all in NJ) two had their on shops and one worked out of her home and she is the one I am going to book with. She was the only one that actually listened to what I said and had a ton of creative ideas. All three florist gave me almost the same exact quote also.

I say go with your gut :) If he is very worried about her picking up and leaving maybe see if you can put a smaller deposit down or have something written in your contract??

I know who you are talking about and I love her work but honestly, this is a big concern of mine. She always has great reviews but something about her working from her home just doesn't sit right for me. I would shop around a little more, try to negotiate. If her price is still a great deal less than others and your gut tells you she's the florist to book than go for it. I really don't think she will just dissapear but I personally am hesitant to take that chance. JMO though. Good luck w/ your decision.

Go and see more florists if you want to. What made you book with this one in the first place? You must have had some trust in him/her.

Your FH prob was nervous about it but was afraid to tell you and of course he waited until it was pretty much too late. They do this all the time - mine was all gung ho with the RH and then all of a sudden after we book it he starts to express his concerns and dislikes.

I know how you feel, cause I chose the same florist, but honestly, ours are not the first two weddings she has done. I have read quite a few of her reviews, and nobody has anything bad to say about her, except that she works out of her home, but that is also the way she is able to offer us great prices. I don't think LIW wouldn't have used her at TWOTY if they didn't feel she was reputable and trust worthy. I have to trust that if Ron & Kim have faith in her than so should we, but it's jmo, but I truly feel confident with her, and she didn't seem like a shady person who is going to leave us high and dry. There are plenty of vendors who do have store fronts that have left a number of brides with no limos, photos, etc....

Honestly, I don't think it would be worth it to me to take the risk of working with a vendor that is SO crucial for the big day, who doesn't have a store front.

Some vendors are ok I think .... hair/makeup, dance lessons, a dj, even a travel agent .... but a florist should at least have a public studio if not a store front, in my opinion.

I know I am agreeing with your FH here, which probably isn't what you're looking for, but just wanted to share my opinion.
