ok tell me if im wrong, but i think i was 'propositioned' by a married man...
I live in a building development, every1 kinda sees each other and says hello all the time.
There is a guy who lives in the building next to mine. He is married in his late 20's and I have seen him and his wife together all the time..
One day we saw each other on the bus (this was about a month ago) and we chatted..he knew i broke up with my bf cause every1 in my area knows every1 elses business.. so we talked about that, and the fact that his wife and him were building a house in Pennsylvania and they were moving soon...
So cut to yesterday...we run into each other and of course we are like hey how r you blah blah blah...
so this is the convo:
Me: Hey how are ya..what u doing here...
Him: Oh waiting for a co-worker she is getting our apartmentand she wanted to see the place ahead of time
Me: oh thats great congrats, when r u moving, blah blah..so where is ur wife staying..is she happy about it, r u still commuting all that way...
Him: oh shes in a hotel in Penn. until the house is complete..and im staying in the apartment until the closing happens which will b till October 1..
SO me and him chat about nonsense, my tan, the hot weather..then he asks me how is it going with MY apartment all to myself and i tell him its weird but im getting used to it,...blah, blah...
So a while back when he heard about my breakup he mentioned setting me up with his brother or a friend of his..so i said to him
Me: oh what happened to all those eligable bachelors u were supposed to b setting me up with??
Him: oh yeah i didnt forget im still looking..then he says oh but hey what about me?
Me: and im like what about u, ur a married man (and im laughing cause i assume hes joking)
Him: oh well shes in Penn. and Im here so what she doesnt know wont hurt her (and hes laughing)
Me: So I jokingly say something about different zip codes and i guess he doesnt think they count about being faithful but the whole time i M JOKING WITH HIM OR SO I THINK...
Me: so then i say that we should all get together sometime, when he comes back to visit (after the move) meaning me, this blind date, him and his wife..
Him: oh thats a good idea, lets exchange numbers..
we exchange digits and im thinking itts all innocent..then he says oh so what r u doing tonite, and me being retarded and not thinking says oh um nothing gotta go return some videos..and hes like well why dont i stop by later and we can hang out..now me once again being stupid doesnt think hes serious so im like yeah sure if ur around give me a call..and i think nothing of it...
then as im walking away hes like, oh pick out a good movie for us to watch..so then as i walk away i start like re-doing the convo in my head and i dont know if its me being totally naive to not realize what he was hinting at, or if i m being way to ego minded and maybe he didnt think anything of it..so i walk away and think to myself that i would never have an affair with him, i kno for a fact he is married...
Needless to say he called me 30 minutes later to come over!! I was definitly leery and told him i forgot i had some stuff to take care of and didnt know if i could hangout so i would get back to him--then of course i never called him back...
now what do u all think, isnt that crazy??!! m i correct to assume he was hinting at something while i thought he was joking or am i just jumping to conclusions?? ugh men make me sick!!!!!
